A reminder that Expressions of Interest for Bike Week 2026 are now open.

Following the great success of Bike Week last year, Donegal Sports Partnership is inviting clubs, schools, community groups and businesses to put forward ideas for cycling activities in 2026.

Whether it’s a family cycle, school event, community spin or something new, we’d love to hear from you.

⚠️ THE 2025 LAKELANDER HAS BEEN POSTPONED ⚠️

The Yellow Weather Warning which was to come into force late tomorrow afternoon has now been extended across all areas of Northern Ireland and will now run from 14:00 on Friday 3rd October to 12:00 noon on Saturday 4th October 2025. This is in the middle of our event window.

As you are all aware the event takes place on lands managed by Fermanagh & Omagh District Council and the Council are duty bound by Met Office Warnings. As a result the event licence cannot be issued for the Lakelander Gravel Grinder this weekend.

Both Fermanagh & Omagh District Council and the Lakelander Event Team place participant safety at the forefront of our planning and with the medium impact warning in place access to the forests for events is not permitted.

This will come as a major disappointment to many but as you can understand it is down to factors totally outside our control.

We are exploring a rescheduled date of 21st March 2026 and all entries will be moved to the rescheduled date.

We are as devastated as you are that the event will not be taking place this weekend.
