Post-Treatment Care - , “Returning to normal” doesn’t feel normal—and that’s very real.

Many people expect life to snap back once treatment ends, but chemo can leave lasting physical, emotional, and cognitive changes. So even when doctors say you’re “done,” your body and mind may still be healing.

Here are some common reasons it feels that way:

🫱Physical changes: fatigue, neuropathy (tingling/numbness), pain, hormonal shifts

🫱Brain changes: “chemo brain” (memory, focus, word-finding issues)

🫱Emotional impact: anxiety, depression, fear of recurrence, grief for the old you

🫱Identity shift: you’re not the same person you were before cancer—and that’s okay

🫱Invisible recovery: others think you’re fine because treatment ended, but healing continues

Many survivors say the goal isn’t going back to normal, but finding a new normal—one that accounts for what you’ve been through.

After cancer treatment, it’s common for energy levels, skin sensitivity, and overall resilience to take time to settle. Recovery is not about returning to how things were before, but about supporting the body as it is now.

Oncology Reflexology is a gentle, adapted therapy that can support relaxation, reduce tension, and help manage fatigue during and after treatment.

Sessions may also include carefully adapted massage and skincare appropriate for sensitive or compromised skin. I use Thalgo products for their calming, hydrating, and skin-supportive properties.

All treatments are personalised, with care taken to ensure comfort, safety, and individual needs.
