The YSI Speak Out Tour 2026 stopped in Sligo this week, bringing together 195 students from Leitrim, Clare, Mayo, Donegal, Cavan, Sligo and Roscommon.

Students presented inspiring projects tackling issues such as elderly loneliness, intergenerational connection, biodiversity and environmental sustainability, while also celebrating the importance of local heritage in building strong communities.

The event highlighted the creativity, empathy and determination of young people working to make a positive impact in their communities.

A Table Quiz in aid of the **St. Patrick’s Church, Lahardane Restoration Fund** takes place tonight, Friday March 13th at 9pm in Murphy’s Bar.

Quiz Master for the night is Colm B, with finger food, a raffle and spot prizes on the night. Entry is €10 per person and prizes will be awarded to the winning tables.
