Dublin Airport Fire and Rescue service (DAFRS) has announced it will partner with first responder charity CRITICAL to expand volunteer emergency response across Leinster.
The collaboration sees members of DAFRS, who are trained advanced paramedics, paramedics and emergency medical technicians along with emergency first responders volunteering their expertise in local communities to help save lives.
The team, including 20 responders, has signed up, which includes eight advanced paramedics and 13 paramedics, with an additional five responders expected to join in the coming months.
“At the end of their shift, our team members go home to their communities and respond to emergency calls across Dublin, Meath, Kildare, Carlow, Kilkenny and Cavan,” Chief Fire Officer Jim Moore from DAFRS said.
“Through CRITICAL charity, they now have the opportunity to put their expertise to work in their communities when it matters most.
