Tip Thursday- add protein to every meal 🍳🍗💪🏼

when it comes to nutrition the most important thing that will you keep you satisfied, provide lasting energy and reduce overall calories and processed foods is to add protein to every meal.

This will keep you full for longer and prevent a spike in blood sugar which causes cravings, weight gain and metabolic conditions.

Protein sources are often natural- such as eggs, yogurt, Milk, meat etc. or less processed and low in sugar compared to carb sources so by adding in more protein you inversely remove poorer quality foods. (High sugar, fat, salt, & low vitamins and minerals)

So how would you introduce protein into every meal? With fruit add a High protein, low sugar yogurt. With bread, add eggs or turkey sausage or rasher or slices of ham, chicken etc .In your soup try add in some chicken or have some meat on your bread.

Centre your meals around your protein source- so instead of pasta your are having chicken with a side of pasta.

Try this simple hack to transform your diet and you body 🙌🏻

Kettlebell dumbell workout 💪🏼

This is the first round of a circuit, 40 seconds on 20 seconds off. 1 minute rest between rounds. Playback the video and Repeat 2-3 times 🏋🏼‍♀️

Exercises include:

🔹thrusters
🔹bent over row
🔹deadlift
🔹overheard press
🔹 reverse lunge
🔹 KB swing
🔹Russian twist

Feel good Friday 😍

Ryan’s amazing progress in just 4 weeks. Not only does he look amazing but his confidence is soaring, well able to go to the gym BY HIMSELF and not feeling embarrassed or awkward, which is huge for so many people starting off.

THIS is what I aim for with all my clients 👆🏼👆🏼

After a few sessions they do not need me anymore. We have corrected our form, learnt the lifts and made some progress so that you are confident enough to go out on your own. I provide you with the initial tools that set you up for success later on 📈

Disclaimer: these results are not to be expected in everyone in such little time.
Ryan worked his ass off in each session, didn’t leave anything in the tank and literally couldn’t move after some workouts the next day. I do not use this approach with a lot of my clients as consistent, steady, long term progress is far better than going hell for leather and then becoming burnt out and never exercising again. But Ryan is determined and I knew he started to develop a passion for training and sensing this I could tailor a more ‘hardcore’ program for him 💪🏼

Pain management 💥

I did not put her up to this I swear 😂 Genuine feedback after each session with chronic neck pain becoming more manageable 🙌🏻

Often people avoid exercise in fear it will aggravate their symptoms but when done correctly it has the opposite effect. The key is to get someone who knows which exercises and stretches will reduce imbalances as opposed worsening them.
Unfortunately many generic fitness classes do just making injuries worse.

Also people often turn to physio for short term pain relief. But this only treats the symptom (if not coupled with rehabilitation exercises) In order to actually treat the injury we need to get down to the root problem and fix the cause. (Imbalances)

So if you are suffering from pain or an injury it is important to get a personalised program which is tailored to your needs.

You do not have to stop exercising, just approach it differently. Do not let pain prevent you from reaching your goals. ✨

Soup is like a hug in a bowl, warming you up on a cold day and contributing to your 5 a day 🥕🍆🥦

Store-bought soups can be loaded with cream and butter so best to make your own to get all the benefits without the calories

Add in some chicken or meat to your sambo and you’re sorted for the perfect balanced meal which will keep you full for hours and provide you with loads of nutrients 🥰

Another happy client seeing huge improvements after just 2 weeks of making small changes to the diet

The goal was to improve energy and increase muscle mass. Training was already on point so it was just a case of dialling down on nutrition.

Taking out deli foods and adding in more healthy fats and veggies was the gist of it 🥜 🥦

Well done keep pushing on 💪🏼
