Tip Thursday- add protein to every meal 🍳🍗💪🏼
when it comes to nutrition the most important thing that will you keep you satisfied, provide lasting energy and reduce overall calories and processed foods is to add protein to every meal.
This will keep you full for longer and prevent a spike in blood sugar which causes cravings, weight gain and metabolic conditions.
Protein sources are often natural- such as eggs, yogurt, Milk, meat etc. or less processed and low in sugar compared to carb sources so by adding in more protein you inversely remove poorer quality foods. (High sugar, fat, salt, & low vitamins and minerals)
So how would you introduce protein into every meal? With fruit add a High protein, low sugar yogurt. With bread, add eggs or turkey sausage or rasher or slices of ham, chicken etc .In your soup try add in some chicken or have some meat on your bread.
Centre your meals around your protein source- so instead of pasta your are having chicken with a side of pasta.
