This year marks 115 years of International Women’s Day. Since 1911, this campaign serves to celebrate women’s achievement, raise awareness about discrimination, and to take action to improve gender equality.

Are you using Levemir? Are you aware that the drug manufacturer Novo Nordisk has announced it will discontinue Levemir insulin in all forms worldwide, and it will not be available in Ireland by the end of 2026 anymore?

The HSE has prepared an information leaflet for people who have been using Levemir to manage diabetes – see the guidance here and contact your diabetes team for further information and plan the next steps, if needed.
