Blarney Wellness Centre.

Blarney Wellness Centre. I also teach baby classes to parents. Thank you. My name is Pat and my absolute love of reflexology began in 1998 when I stepped into my first training. Pat

My name is Pat and I’m a clinical reflexologist with over 26 years experience working with stress, fertility, pregnancy, somatic release, yoga, breath-work, meditation, holistic counselling and grief work. And over the years I’ve up-skilled and constantly added to my knowledge and skill-set yet I never cease to be amazed by the power of reflexology. The beauty of reflexology, whether of the feet face or ears is that they all trigger a deeply healing response in the person. I don’t “heal” people, I just press the buttons to help the person heal themselves. Each treatment is tailored to the needs of my clients, whether they choose reflexology, Indian head massage, reiki or a combination of my therapies. I’ve been fortunate to train with the best in the world and some of the trainings I’ve attended over the years have been game changers, from orthopedic to clinical to cancer support and Japanese facial massage to name but a few. And I must say that I feel a deep sense of delight when my yoga and meditation clients leave classes looking so relaxed and happy. I look forward to meeting and treating you soon. I'm approved by the main health insurers and you're entitled to tax back on treatments with a GP/ consultant referral.

Change is coming.
The moon says so, it shines brightly on the good and unmasks the bad.
Wait. Breathe. Be patient but don’t stop fighting for the oppressed
Open your eyes now to the oppressors.
And believe your eyes, not their lies.
Change is coming.

It’s been a while since I showed you my therapy room. My goal is to offer a calm, quiet, soothing space and I’ll do my utmost to work with sensory needs.
The walls are a beautiful deep colour, no glaring white anymore.
The lighting is subtle.
I don’t use strongly scented creams.
The blankets are soft and I’ve a weighted duvet.
I offer soothing eye/forehead pillows if you’d like.
My clock is silent (winning)!
I’m updating my consultation form to include a section on sensory requirements and as mentioned, I’ll do my best to support you.
Full disclosure, my sensory triggers are bright lights, loud noises (unless it’s techno, house and rave music 😂) and that also applies to loud people in small spaces.
Certain perfumes. Eating and drinking sounds (misaphonia) and the weirdest, cooked pasta being stirred.

If any of that info doesn’t put you off then nothing will!
And my deepest gratitude to Autism Friendly Blarney. and for their invaluable insight into neurodiversity and autism. And I’m delighted to say that myself and my fellow therapists will be completing the autism training. Please do it ♥️
Thanks a million.

Cooking helps me to relax. I love trying world cuisine and today i wanted to use our glut of beetroot and some of the lovely stock my husband made.
So borscht was the order of the day, a divine and hugely nutritious soup from Ukraine 🇺🇦.
However, as I chopped the veg (all not included in the pic), a couldn’t help feeling deeply concerned about the absolute horror continuing to unfold in the so called “land of the free” , Gaza, Ukraine, Iran etc.
I thought about when you’re cooking and a scum forms on top of your dish that it’s very important to remove it because it can taint your dish, and right now, unfortunately, the scum has risen to the top worldwide.
However, we must have hope and we must push back so that it does not permanently taint the world.

Hey Pat, just a quick note to say thank you so much for the treatment yesterday. It really helped my usual post migraine symptoms too… so far as I don’t have the ‘migraine hangover’ today - no feeling blue 😰 out of nowhere today. 🙏🏻🪄✨ you are a (highly trained and experienced) magician!! Also, I have a noticeable difference in my underarm lymph area so you helped with drainage there too ✨

And thanks for your patience recently, work / life balance has been hard to manage my end. Tale as old as time!

Thanks again and see you next time ❤️

So…..you may remember that I mentioned a potential desire to start Hyrox training a few days ago?
And some of you recommended ?
Well today was the day because my husband gently encouraged me (shoved me out the door) and I’m absolutely delighted that I listened. Trish is incredibly encouraging and pushes you in a good way.

I didn’t really know what to expect, it’s a combination of cardio and strength training and I DID NOT DIE 😜
I’ll be working on my running in between though.

My pre Hyrox prep included wearing a man’s compression vest to keep the bo***es secure in case I knocked myself out and making a mental note to invest in new trainers to replace my battered ones, they owe me nothing now. 🤓
Long story short? I’m signing up.

Beast!!!!! 😂

Did you know that, as a member of the National Register of Reflexologists Ireland (NRRI), I’m approved by Irish health insurers. So if your health policy includes reflexology, you’re entitled to a partial or full refund.
And more good news, if you receive a referral from your GP or consultant, you’ll be entitled to a tax rebate!
What’s not to love.
Thank you. Pat

This is a wee bit of a rambling and unusual post for me but I just wanted to share a few things with whomever wishes to read it.
Today was bittersweet because it would have been our lovely dad’s 89th birthday and while I’m really sad that he missed out on so many life experiences such as meeting most of his grandchildren and well, living a longer life, he died at 60, I know that he would be incredibly proud of all of his children and of course, our mother too.
Grief is a strange, lingering experience, time does heal, but it requires some work and talking to someone definitely helps.
As I walked the dogs today, I listened to one of my favourite podcasts, and synchronicity dictated that spoke about his own fathers passing too and it was lovely to hear some of his dads stories.

Why the picture? I’ve been thinking a lot about the final stages of my degree and I realised (again) that the weight of the last four years work is starting to peel away and there a glimmer of light in the distance.
So I’m planning a massive undertaking. HYROX 😂😂
I’m looking for a mixed gender place to train, all the genders, bring them on!
Happy birthday. Dad, you’ll be there in spirit ♥️♥️♥️
