THE
BRAIN GYM® COURSE
The Brain Gym® Course is a beginner's course in Brain Gym® comprising 32 hours of workshopping Brain Gym and a full day of practice to consolidate learning so everyone leaves confident using Brain Gym and has already integrated it into their lives.
The course begins from the basics of how we operate now, what we can achieve,
and then leads participants through all of the skills and knowledge that they will
need to confidently and competently use Brain Gym® to bring about change
in themselves and those they work with.
Participants will be trained in techniques for integrating left and right brain
hemispheres and mind / body co-ordination leading to improvements in a wide
range of skills, academic and physical, and general improvement in the quality
of life, such as stress reduction and enhanced confidence.
The course is suitable for all adults and teenagers are welcome when accompanied by a fully participating adult. In the past, business people, civil
servants, classroom and special needs teachers, nurses, therapists and
others in the caring professions have attended. Others come for personal
self-exploration and development. Some have attended to learn skills to
enhance their careers with real tools for change, goal setting and to release
their real potential.
The Course covers all the Brain Gym® activities, with instruction on how
to use them, what their effects are and the theory behind Brain Gym and
Educational Kinesiology. All participants will learn the 5-step Brain Gym® balance
process incorporating personal goal setting, to enhance the effectiveness of
the exercises and maximise the potential for positive change in their chosen
areas. They will experience the effect of Brain Gym® on themselves and have
the opportunity to become aware of any areas in which they could perform to
greater effect in their work or in any area of their lives and how they can work
towards this by using Brain Gym®.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to use all the Brain Gym
activities, have a basic understanding of how they work and be familiar with
the balancing techniques.
Participants will be given the skills and tools to determine which Brain Gym®
activities to use to maximise success in their particular context, e.g. work
situations, learning situations, movement situations: …business, schools,
special needs, family, and how Brain Gym® can integrate with any work they may already be doing.
