After years of supporting each other, and working together remotely- last week I finally got to meet some of my fellow practitioners and the amazing Clare Caldwell, founder of the MindBody Reconnect, in person!

It was such a joy to finally give each other a hug and discover how tall (or not🤣) we all were.

And while I was experiencing the whirlwind of flying to London and back in the same day, I couldn't help but reflect on the fact that there was a time in my life when I truly couldn't imagine flying again because of illness. How things change❤️

I will always be so grateful to Clare for creating the MindBody Reconnect—without it, this day wouldn't have been possible for so many reasons. I'm looking forward to the next time- hopefully with even more of us together💞

Like everyone, I’ve been navigating the emotions of watching what’s unfolding around the world at the moment.

There is a weight that comes with witnessing this genocide, along with other injustices happening globally—especially when we feel helpless to stop it. Many of us are sharing the collective emotions of grief, anger and fear.

This has been a big theme in my client work recently. We are all trying to figure out:

💭 How do I stay informed about what is going on in the world, without becoming overwhelmed?
đź’­How can I take action?
💭 How do I balance taking actions on these larger issues, while navigating my own challenges?
💭 How do I create space for myself to feel these emotions?

Of course there isn’t one simple answer to these questions, and as with everything- how we need to go about meeting our needs is individual and changes regularly.

But the answer always starts with allowing ourselves a compassionate space to notice and validate what we’re feeling- and then go from there.

That’s where I’ve been. Noticing these emotions, taking actions when I can, setting a few boundaries with the constant media stream, and offering myself the compassion to drop a few things off my plate.

If you’ve been navigating this too, you are not alone. And remember, your emotional brain isn’t overreacting—it’s responding. Be gentle with yourself💓
