The death has taken place in Letterkenny University Hospital of Charlie Longwell, Glenside, Gransha, Buncrana.

Loving husband of Norah and Dear father of Emmett and Edward, brother of James and John. Predeceased by his parents Roseann and Charlie and brother Hugh R.I.P. sadly missed by his family circle and friends Josephine McLaughlin and Margarit McLaughlin.

Charlie's remains will be reposing at McLaughlin's funeral home Buncrana. Viewing from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday 29th January. Removal from there at 10.30 a.m. on Friday 30th January going to St Mary's church Cockhill for 11 o'clock requiem mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

The death has occurred of Jim Henderson, 7 Lisowen Avenue, Buncrana, Co. Donegal, F93 D9N7.

Jim died peacefully surrounded by those he loved on Friday, 23rd January 2026.

Deeply mourned by his sons, Martin, Liam, Sean and Hugh Patrick

He will always be fondly remembered also by his daughters-in-law Elaine and Marie, and by his grandchildren Michael, Megan, James, Shay, Caolan, Ultan, Sally, Emma and Cara.

Also by his much-loved brothers Hugh, Danny, Jackie and his sister, Mary.

As well as all of his extended family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, relatives, former colleagues and many friends.

Predeceased by his precious and beloved wife Sally and son Kieran.

Jim’s remains will leave McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, Main Street, Buncrana, this evening (Friday) at 4pm going to his home.

Funeral from there on Monday (26th January) at 10:20 for 11am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Cockhill followed by Internment in the adjoining cemetery.

Acknowledgement & Month’s Mind Mass

We, the family of the late William Grant, wish to express our heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to all those who supported us following the passing of our much loved father.

We are especially grateful to the carers and nurses who cared for him with such kindness and dignity.

We thank everyone who attended the wake and funeral, and all who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, and messages of condolence, giving us wonderful support during the days surrounding the wake and funeral.

Our sincere thanks to Fr Francis Bradley for his spiritual support and for celebrating such a personal and meaningful Funeral Mass. Thank you also to Hugh and Marie for the beautiful music and singing, which added greatly to the service.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. A Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

The family of the late Eileen McKinney wish to express our thanks and gratitude to all those who sympathised, supported and attended following the passing of our much loved sister and aunt.

We would like to thank all who attended the wake and funeral, and all who sent mass cards and messages of condolences. We are also very grateful to our family, friends and Eileen’s neighbours for their help and kindness at the wake.

We are especially grateful to all those who cared for Eileen throughout her illness, Dr Steele and all the staff at the Buncrana medical centre, Letterkenny University Hospital and all of Eileen’s carers.

Our sincere thanks to Fr Baker for his spiritual support and funeral mass.

Thank you too Keenan for the beautiful music and singing.

We would like to sincerely thank McLaughlin & McLaughlin funeral directors for their guidance, compassion and professionalism throughout the wake and funeral.

We, the family of the late Louise Sheridan, wish to express our sincere gratitude to all those who supported us following the the passing of our much loved mother, daughter, sister and aunt. We thank everyone who attended the wake and funeral from far and near, and all who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards and messages of condolences.

We would like to thank our family friends and neighbours for their help and support during the wake. We are especially grateful to the doctors, and nurses in ICU Letterkenny University Hospital, to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Buncrana Medical Centre, Brennans pharmacy for all their care and help.

Our sincere thanks to Father Francis Bradley for the beautiful funeral Mass and his spiritual support during the wake and also to Father Baker, Father Walsh, Fr. Charlie Logue, Fr. Sweeeny and to Father Shane Gallagher, Chalplin of Letterkenny University Hospital for his spiritual support in the hours before Louise's passing.

Our thanks also to Seamus and Roisin for the beautiful singing and music. Acknowledgement

We, the wife and family of the late Bernard Lynch wish to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who sympathised with us on the passing of our dearest husband and father.

Thank you to everyone who sent messages of condolence, mass cards and those who attended his wake and funeral.
We are also very grateful to our families, friends and neighbours who helped in so many ways at the wake and over the previous weeks.

We will be eternally grateful to all those who cared for Bernard throughout his illness, Dr. Steele and the staff of Buncrana Medical Centre, John and the staff of Brennan's Chemist, Charlene and the Irish Motor Neurone Association, and all of Bernard's carers.

A special thanks to the amazing staff of the Donegal Hospice for the care, kindness and dignity they showed Bernard in his final days.

We also wish to thank the staff and pupils of Crana College for their very respectful guard of honour, the school choir and Laura Keogh for the most beautiful music.

Our thanks to Michael for the flowers and the Lake of Shadows Hotel for the funeral lunch.

We are very grateful to Fr Bradley for his very personal funeral service and for his guidance and prayers at the wake.
