“When I was told I was in remission it was the biggest relief and almost felt too good to be true. I am grateful because I know not everyone gets the all clear. But I do worry whether it will come back.

“At the moment I feel very angry with the universe. I feel like I have been pulled away from what I loved. I can no longer go back to the Galapagos Islands as you need to have a good health history. This makes me so sad as I loved life there.

If the same restrictions applied to everything else as on maternity services:

- the clothes shops reopen, you can go browse for new clothes while your partner waits in the car. Once you have picked the clothes you want and you are actively trying them on with the help of the shop’s staff, they may call your partner in until you go to the till.

- restaurants are reopening, you book a table for 2. On arrival, your partner is asked to wait outside while you sit down, order and begin to eat. Once the restaurant staff are satisfied that you are well established into your meal, they call your partner to come in and join you to see what dessert you are having and maybe share a few moments together.

- you can now resume attending Church, however you will not sit down with your partner. They will wait in the church car park until you are actively queuing for communion, then the priest can call your partner in to receive communion as well and leave straight away again.
