Recognising the Signs of Domestic Abuse and Control
Domestic abuse isnโt always physical. It can be subtle, invisible, and deeply damaging. Abuse is about power and control โ and it can happen to anyone.
Here are some signs to look out for:
โข ๐ซ Isolation โ Cutting you off from friends, family, or support.
โข ๐ฌ Gaslighting โ Making you doubt your own memory or reality.
โข ๐ฐ Financial Control โ Limiting your access to money or monitoring every penny.
โข ๐ฑ Monitoring โ Checking your phone, emails, or whereabouts without consent.
โข ๐ฃ Criticism & Belittling โ Constantly undermining your confidence or worth.
โข ๐จ Intimidation โ Using threats, looks, or gestures to cause fear.
