The death has occurred of

James Anthony Green

North Andover, Massachusetts and formerly of Drung, Quigley's Point, suddenly on December 12th 2025, with his beloved wife by his side.

James was born in Donegal, Ireland, on December 9, 1985, the son of James and Ann Green, and the youngest brother of Michael and Majella. He and his wife, Michelle, emigrated to Boston in July 2013, where they built a successful life together. Above all else, James was a devoted father, soccer coach, and all-round sports enthusiast to his cherished sons, Dylan (10) and Darragh (6).

Professionally, James was a highly respected payments expert in the banking sector, most recently holding the position of Senior Manager, Operational Risk Oversight, at Discover Financial Services.

James loved all things sport - from his beloved Donegal GAA team to his lifelong support of Manchester United, as well as his passion for all Boston sports teams. He took his greatest pride in sharing his deep knowledge and love of sport with his two sons, especially through coaching the boys’ soccer teams in North Andover. A natural with landscaping, James lovingly crafted a beautiful yard at the family home, always happiest seeing his boys and their neighborhood friends enjoying it. He was also a talented cook, and his meals - and the love behind them - will be forever missed by his family.

James was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 13 years, Michelle Green; his sons, Dylan and Darragh, of North Andover, Massachusetts; his parents, James and Ann Green; his brother Michael and his wife Nuala, his sister Majella, and his nieces Michaela, Aimee, Eimear, and Hannah. He is also lovingly remembered by his in-laws, Peter and Bridie McLaughlin of Bundoran, Donegal; his sisters-in-law Karen, Megan, and Niamh, and their partners and children across Donegal, Sligo, and Tipperary; his aunts, uncles and cousins across Ireland and Glasgow, Scotland.

Family and friends in the United States are invited to honor and celebrate James’s life on December 17, 2025, from 4pm – 7pm at Conte Funeral Home in North Andover, MA. James will then return to his beloved Donegal, Ireland, where he will be laid to rest.

James's remains will arrive at the M**f border on Saturday December 20th at approx 12pm to continue to his home in Drung, Quigley's Point (F93 W5N3).

We, the family of the late John McDaid would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the outpouring of love, support and kindness shown to us on the recent passing of our much loved Husband, Father and Grandfather.

We are forever grateful to our extended family, friends and neighbours and the wider community for the compassion, prayers and help we received during John's wake and the days that followed. Your visits to our home, thoughtful gestures, kinda words, sympathy/mass cards, donations and presence at John's Funeral Mass brought us great comfort during a very difficult time.

We would especially like to thank the ladies that helped with the food and refreshments and the men that helped with the car parking and the traffic flow. A special mention to Lakes Taxi for running a shuttle bus during the wake and a thank you to the drivers.

Sincere thanks to Fr O'Doherty for all his support and for conducting a beautiful Funeral Mass.

A special thanks to those who participated in the Funeral Mass and to Joanne and Finbarr for providing the beautiful music and hymns which added warmth and comfort to the Mass.

We are truly grateful to Eamonn and Liam of Eamonn McLaughlin Funeral Director.
Eamonn the empathy, respect and thoughtfulness you showed us as a family during the wake and the funeral brought us great comfort. The care and dignity with which you cared for John was second to none.

We are also deeply thankful to the doctors, nurses and staff in the North West Cancer Centre Altnagelvin, Letterkenny University Hospital and the Donegal Hospice as well as Moville Group Practice for the exceptional care, compassion and respect shown to John throughout his illness.
