(lst & 23rd Anniversary)

lst anniversary

Nan (Anastasia) Henry

In loving memory of our precious mother, granny
and great granny Nan, who died on the l6th of November 2024.

When God was making mothers
He must have made a fuss,
He spent a lot of time on one,
and gave that one to us.

Of all the gifts in life
However great or small,
To have you as our Mammy
Was the greatest gift of all.

Because you were so special
No words could ever say,
How much we love and miss you
Today and everyday.

23rd Anniversary

Jack

In loving memory of our precious father, grandfather and great grandfather who died on the 16th of November 2002.

Gone are the days we used to share
But in our hearts you are always there,
The gates of memory will never close
We miss you more than anyone knows.

With tender love and deep regret,
We who love you will never forget.

Always loved and never will be forgotten, by their
children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Nan's first anniversary mass will be held in St. Pius X Church Moville on the 15th of November at 6:30pm

Acknowledgement - Months Mind Mass

JJ Lafferty, Corvish, Carndonagh.

We, the family of the late JJ Lafferty, would like to express our most heartfelt thanks and appreciation
for the outpouring of love, support, and kindness shown to us during our recent bereavement.

We are deeply grateful to our extended family, friends, neighbours, and the wider community for the
compassion, prayers, and help we received in the weeks before JJ's passing and in the days that
followed. Your visits to our home, thoughtful gestures, kind words, sympathy cards and presence at
JJ's funeral mass brought us great comfort during a very difficult time.

Our sincere thanks to Fr. Coyle and Fr. Con Mc Laughlin for their prayers, support, and the beautiful
funeral mass they celebrated in JJ's memory.

A special word of thanks to those who participated in the mass and to those who provided the beautiful and uplifting music, it added so much to the service and reflected JJ's spirit perfectly.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Eamonn McLaughlin Funeral Director for his
professionalism, gentleness, and genuine care. Eamonn, your compassionate guidance, attention to
detail, and the warmth you showed to each of us went far beyond your duty. Your kindness and respect in every aspect of the arrangements brought us great comfort, and we will always be thankful for the dignity with which you cared for JJ and our family.

We are also deeply thankful to the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. James's Hospital, Dublin, University Hospital Galway, and Letterkenny University Hospital, as well as Dr. Falls and Dr. Downey, for the exceptional care, compassion, and respect shown to JJ throughout his illness.

To JJ's many friends - your constant presence, friendship, and support meant the world to him and to
us. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

Our heartfelt thanks to Carndonagh GAA Club and the wider GAA community, for their incredible support during JJ's illness, their help and kindness at the wake, and for the beautiful and moving tribute organised on the morning of his funeral - a memory we will always treasure.

We are also very grateful to An Garda Siochana for their assistance on the day of the funeral.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of
our deepest gratitude and appreciation.

JJ was a remarkable man - a devoted husband, a wonderful father, a loving son, and a gentle soul
whose quiet strength, humility, and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him. He never sought
attention or praise, but his love and care spoke louder than words ever could.

With heartfelt thanks,
Nuala, Conor, Oran, Cian, and the Lafferty Family

JJ's Month's Mind Mass will take place on
Sunday 16th November at 9:00 am in the Sacred Heart Church Carndonagh.

The Month's Mind Mass for the late Brian Lafferty will be live streamed on Malin Parish page tomorrow (Saturday 8th) at 6pm from St Patrick's Church, Aughaclay.

Acknowledgement - Month's Mind Mass
Brian Lafferty, Malin and formally of Bunn, Glengad.

We, the family of the late Brian Lafferty wish to extend our sincere gratitude to all the caring, kind and thoughtful relations, friends and neighbours who helped us over the last while with the passing of our wonderful daddy, granda, uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend.

The arms that physically scooped us up when daddy got sick so suddenly. The constant phone calls, prayers and text messages to let us know that you were thinking of daddy. Those of you who came to the hospital, sat with us at such an unsure and sad time. You helped us in those days more than you will ever know.

A special thanks to the wonderful nurses, doctors and medical staff in Letterkenny University Hospital whose care and kindness brought us great comfort. Especially nurse Clara Mc Laughlin from the palliative care team who was beyond helpful and professional in her care of daddy in his last days. We will forever remember the care, kindness and dignity she showed to him and to us.

Thank you to all those who called to our home, attended the wake or funeral or both, sent sympathy/mass cards/floral tributes, offered donations, travelled long distances or remembered us in your prayers, we are deeply grateful. Your kindness and support brought great comfort at a very difficult and sad time.

We extend thanks to the wonderful friends, neighbours and extended family who took over the kitchen and the refreshments, provided help with traffic and parking and prepared the grave. Thanks also to the John Doherty (L) and all the staff in Fishermans Inn Culkenny for providing the refreshments after the funeral.
A special word of thanks to The Glengad Community Centre for providing their facilities for the funeral gathering and all the fantastic volunteers who gave so freely of their time. Thanks to each and every one of you for the care, warmth, and hospitality shown to us. Daddy was a proud Glengad man and he would be touched by the true sense of community that surrounded us. The care, warmth, and togetherness shown by everyone at the centre was a beautiful reminder of the strength and compassion that exist within the Glengad community.

A special word of thanks to Malin GAA for their generosity in providing parking facilities, help with refreshments, bringing food and visiting our home. We were especially touched by your genuine compassion when The Minor Girls paid their respects after their county final. Your collective willingness to help and open your doors to the community truly reflects the spirit of teamwork and care that makes this club so special. Thank you for going above and beyond to make a difficult time a little easier for us.

A huge thank you to Eamonn and Liam from Eamonn McLaughlin Funeral Director for their kindness, professionalism and empathy. Also, to Fr Devlin for visiting our home, offering nightly prayers and celebrating the beautiful requiem mass for Brian. We are also deeply grateful to the altar servers and Eucharistic ministers for their participation. To Joanne and Finbarr for the beautiful, touching music which added such grace to the funeral.

Daddy was a quiet soul, the kind of person whose presence brought calm rather than noise. Though he never sought attention or praise, his kindness spoke louder than any words ever could. Humble and selfless, he made the world a little better for everyone around him, often without anyone realizing just how much of a difference he made.
Brian was adored by his family and friends and that showed in buckets when he needed you all the most. Keep us in your prayers as we try to live without him. We can’t possibly thank you all individually, but please know, that together, you made the most heartbreaking time a little easier for us and we count ourselves so lucky to have such amazing friends and neighbours.

Please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere gratitude and appreciation. Your kindness and support will always be remembered.
