🌟 Exciting news from Spraoi agus Spórt and Slí ! 🌟

We’re launching a brand new programme called My Slí, designed for young adults with additional needs in Inishowen who might like some extra support as they get ready for employment.

👉 My Slí runs one day a week in six week blocks, giving participants the chance to build workplace skills and gain hands-on experience in areas like retail, horticulture, and textiles.

We practiced good customer service, and using a till. Next week, we will take our skills to Síoraí Home for some hands on practice. 😀

Peter completed our six-week training programme in our shop. Getting real hands-on experience serving customers and working on the till with real money was a great achievement.

Tanya has been on placement with us for a few weeks now and has learned the ins and outs of working in an office from doing our weekly footfall to sorting physical documents in the Carndonagh Nursery & Garden Centre!

It’s always great to have an extra set of hands and someone to have a cup of tea with 🥳

We kicked off our Grow With Slí project in the Carndonagh Nursery & Garden Centre this morning 🌼

Yuri and Tommy took us through health and safety, an introduction to the project and separating the bulbs.
We have a great group who are ready to get stuck in this Friday- you’ll catch us on the Newpark Road in Carn where we plan to plant thousands of daffodils and tulips in time for spring.

If you are interested in training, we still have space for another group of happy planters.
