This November, we pause to remember those who are forever in our hearts. 🕯️

At Castleross Nursing Home, our Memorial Trees are now displayed in each house and in our Oratory throughout the month of November, in loving memory of all residents who have passed away since last October. 💖

Our Annual Memorial Mass will take place on Wednesday, 12th November in the Community Centre at 3pm.
For those who cannot join us in person, the Mass will be streamed live on the following link: https://www.youtube.com/

Together, we remember, give thanks, and hold close the memories of those who touched our lives so deeply.

May they rest in peace. 🙏

🎃 Halloween Fun at Castleross Nursing Home 🎶

We had a spooktacular time here on Friday as Mickey the Butcher filled the Community Centre with his fabulous music and plenty of laughs🎤🎸

Everyone was welcome to join in — and as you can see, they certainly did! The place was packed with residents, families, friends, and neighbours all enjoying the fun.

There was still room for dancing though… even Dympna, our wonderful 103-year-old resident, found her way to the dancefloor - Picture 2 💃✨

A huge thank-you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a great day. ❤️

🎨 Pumpkin Painting Fun at Castleross Nursing Home “Village Square”!

Our talented residents from Broomfield House spent some time in the Castleross Coffee Shop getting creative — painting lots of colourful pumpkins for Halloween 🎃🖌️

A special mention to Mary, who even painted a beautiful picture for our new shop assistant, Samantha. 💛

A huge thank you to all our wonderful staff — especially our Activities Coordinators Amy (pic 2) and Frances — for helping our Castleross Nursing Home residents and their families make such lovely new Halloween memories this year. 🧡👻

🎃 Halloween Fun at Castleross Nursing Home 🎃

Some of our lovely residents in Killanny House — Mary, Eilish, Eva, Gabrielle, Julia and a few more — got creative this week, decorating pumpkins and getting into the Halloween spirit 🧡👻

And don’t forget — we’re hosting our Halloween Party this Friday, 31st October at 2.30pm in the Community Centre 🎶
There’ll be music with Mickey the Butcher, lots of fun, and plenty of spooky cheer🎵
All are welcome.

Spooky crafts 🎨 and wagging tails 🐾 — just another lovely week here at Castleross Nursing Home, Carrickmacross. Our residents in Creevy House got creative with Halloween art, while Marley the therapy dog spread joy around Killanny & Broomfield House 💛 Lovely new memories being made for our Residents and Staff here in Castleross Nursing Home.

☕ A Warm Welcome to Deacon Gary Carville ☕
Last Wednesday, we were delighted to welcome Deacon Gary Carville, the new Deacon in Co. Monaghan, along with Fr Daly, for Mass here at Castleross Nursing Home

Gary, an Annyalla native, was ordained in early September by Bishop Larry Duffy in St. Michael’s Church, Annyalla. Following Mass, Gary and Fr Daly enjoyed a lovely cuppa and some sweet treats from Molly’s Bar & Coffee Shop in our Village Square.

We look forward to welcoming Gary back to Castleross again very soon. 💛

We had a lovely visit from our therapy dog, Marley and his owner, Marietta, on Monday at Castleross 🐶
Residents always look forward to spending time with Marley — he brings so much joy and calm to our home.

Blathnaid joined in the fun, getting into the Halloween spirit with her spooky costume 👻🕷️🧙‍♀️

Art in Full Bloom at Castleross

Some lovely moments from our Tuesday landscape painting class in the Community Centre — there’s no shortage of creativity (or concentration!) in this group! 🖌️😊

We’ve also created a beautiful art gallery wall in Killanny House, where residents proudly display their work for everyone to enjoy. The residents were delighted to contribute their paintings — it’s wonderful to see their talent brighten up the space for all who visit 💛
