Acu Therapy

For the past eight years I have greatly enjoyed working with Canyon Ranch Spa on cruise ships. During my time shipboard I had the honour of working alongside Dr Naveen Nagaraj, and Dr Mithilesh Vishnumolakala who imparted to me much of their enormous knowledge about the power and effectiveness of Acupuncture. This, then was the spark that ignited my passion to study TCM and Acupuncture.

During my service on the Cruise liners I specialized in foot conditions affecting walking gate and body aliments which I would treat with Physical Therapy and Orthotics.

When clients suffered from neuropathy and or experienced a great deal of pain we found that the introduction of Acupuncture designed for pain management was highly effective.

Between my spells at sea I spent six months in South Africa working with the Bio Dynamics Institute under the supervision of Dr Carlo Longano who taught me a great deal about treating body aliment and posture issues.

I found that a huge amount of back pain stems from poor mobility and collapsed arches of the feet which impressed on me the need to always find the root cause of pain and disease. Symptomatic treatment, although it can relieve pain, rarely results in an effective solution.

In this respect Acupuncture is excellent for managing pain resulting from body posture ailments. After which we remedy the root cause of the body imbalance through intensive Physical Therapy.

My Treatment Principle:

All patients must be understood to be individual cases and examined holistically to find the best and most suitable course of individually tailored and perfected treatment. What is good for one may not necessarily work for another.
