Oran Marron – Months Mind Acknowledgement
The family of the late Oran Marron, his Mother Jacqueline, his Grandparents PJ and Stacey, his Aunt Amanda and Sean, Uncle Martin and Denise his cousins would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised with us following, the great loss of our much loved son, grandson, nephew and cousin.
We would like to thank our extended family and friends for all the love and support you’ve shown us during this incredibly difficult time—both at home in Crossmaglen and in Perth. Your prayers, visits, messages and simply being there for us have meant more than words can ever say. We will always remember the care you’ve shown us when we needed it most.
Oran was lucky to have such wonderful friends, thank you to each of you for being such an important part of his life and for being present with us during his wake, funeral and the weeks since. The stories you have shared have meant the world to us and helped us through this very difficult time.
Thank you to the staff at Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital, Perth, Australia who looked after Oran with such care, compassion and dignity. To the Claddagh Association who provided support to us as a family in Perth. We will be forever be grateful to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, for their expertise and compassion in bringing Oran home. This gave us peace of mind during an incredibly difficult time and we couldn’t have done it without you.
We are grateful to Roisin and the Crossmaglen Rangers for organising the Rosary, to those who recited the Rosary and attended over the three days. Your support and kindness meant so much to us as we watched from home and Perth.
To the communities and businesses of Crossmaglen, Culloville, and Castleblayney—thank you for the incredible respect you showed as Oran made his final journey home. Your presence along the roadside was very comforting.
Our heartfelt thanks to Fr. Dermot and Deacon Paul, for their visits, spiritual care and for the requiem mass celebrating Oran’s life, to Sionan & Odhran Murphy for the beautiful music and sing during the funeral. Sincere thanks are also extended to Paddy Martin for Bag Piping Oran on his final journey to St Patricks Church, also to St Patrick’s Primary School, St Joseph’s High School and Crossmaglen Rangers for the Guard of Honour at the funeral.
To all those who joined us during the wake and funeral, in particular, those who travelled long distances to be with us, thank you. We appreciate all who generously donated to the GoFundMe, sent mass cards, telephoned, called to the house with food, sent floral tributes and offered condolences online.
Finally, our appreciation to Peter, Ciara, Rebekah and Sinead at McCaughey Funeral Directors. For their professionalism and guidance which they provided to our family during this difficult time.
It is impossible to thank each of you in person, but we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation, the Holy Sacrifice of Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
Oran’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 8th November at 6.30pm in St Patrick's Church, Crossmaglen.
