PLEASE....Don't teach a beginner learner to say "please" after every request!

Yes, manners are wonderful. We love to hear our kids say "please" and "thank you". But for a kiddo struggling with language, adding "please" usually just confuses them.

A child doesn't always know that "water please" is 2 words so they might mistakenly think that the label of the item is "water please" and not just "water".

We encourage teaching request with something short and sweet - no extra wording necessary! It's always something that can be added on when their language is stronger!

What can I say 4 years in business today 🥳🥳 time really does fly when you are having fun 😁

A lot has happened in 4 years with our expansion opening Bright Minds preschool & afterschool on our premises, it has been an exciting time and one of the best decisions we have made to have an all inclusive service our days are definitely busy & fun 😍

As always a big thank you to all the parents & children past & present that have availed of our services, without all of you we would never have reached this milestone and we are all truly grateful for each and everyone of you ❤

Another shout out to our wonderful team, we are blessed with an enthusiastic, compassionate and professional team who hold a diverse range of qualifications and talents which contributes to making our service so unique. Autism acceptance is the goal for the UCF Center for Autism and Related Disabilities and the 16,000 individuals with autism spectrum disorders they work to support.

It is an absolute disgrace that the most vulnerable in our society are losing out again. From my own professional experience I have listened to parents of children with additional needs tell me how their child is only attending for half days or for less days per week than their peers. Those children need added supports not exclusion 🤬

Guidelines will oblige schools to seek leave before action taken on behaviour problems

ABA is a lot of things, but ABA is also not:
* a "fad" treatment
* new
* a quick, easy fix
* a "miracle cure"
* exclusively for managing "bad behaviour"
* only for addressing a high level of need
* only for children
* only for those with ASD
* anti-inclusion
* turning children into robots
* developmentally inappropriate
