It is really important that your child is assessed and treated by a physiotherapist who has training and expertise in working with children. Paediatric (Children’s) physiotherapists have an expert knowledge of typical child development and possess the skills and experience that are necessary in treating conditions that affect children. This is how they learn and develop all their skills from learning to climb(gross motor skills) , to drawing (fine motor skills), to dressing up in their favourite fancy dress costumes (dressing skills). Paediatric physiotherapists carry out their assessment and treatment sessions through play so they are able to interact and engage your child in the therapy process.
