Obituary - 14th December 2025

The death has occurred of Padraig Morgan, Knockroe, Castlerea, and formerly of Killerr, Ballintubber, Co. Roscommon - 14th December 2025, suddenly at his home. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Una, and nieces Tracey Brennan and Lisa Higgins. Padraig will be sadly missed by his loving sisters Bernie, Kathleen, Freda, Noreen, Joan and Pauline, auntie Nora, brothers-in-law Michael Joe, Derek, MJ, Ronald and Paul, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Gaynor's Funeral Home, The Square, Castlerea (F45 HH24) on Thursday evening from 6.00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral arriving at St. Bride’s Church, Ballintubber for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon on Friday. Burial afterwards in Ballintubber Cemetery.

Obituary - 8th December 2025

The death has occurred of Colm Keely Caulfields Lane, Castlerea and Martry, Elphin, Co. Roscommon - December 8th 2025, peacefully after a short illness bravely borne at Mayo Hospice, Castlebar. Colm, beloved brother of Geraldine, Joe, Vincent and Niall, and beloved father of Jo, Jade and Martin. Sadly missed by his loving family, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, aunts, cousins, relatives, his large circle of wonderful friends and his best pal Buddy.

Rest in Peace.

The death has occurred of Joseph Grogan, St. Bridget's Close, Glenamaddy, Co. Galway and formerly of Listhomasroe, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon - 7th December 2025, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe. Joseph will be sadly missed by his relatives, good neighbours and his many friends.

She is predeceased by her daughter Majella, sons Michael and Eamonn, and her parents, Eamon and Teresa. Marie will be sadly missed by her husband Padraig, sons Paul and partner Niamh and Robert and his partner Chloe, sisters Dorry, Lily, Teresa, and Bernie, brother Edward, mother-in-law Bridget (Frenchpark), sisters-in-law Lucy, Pauline, Breda and Kathleen, brothers-in-law Kevin, Sean, Michael, Noel, Peter and Gerald and John, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Michael (Mick) Timon, 15 Church Road, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Warwickshire, England and Fairymount, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon - 13th November 2025, peacefully at University Hospital, Galway. Predeceased by his wife Margaret, brother Frank, sister Kathleen and daughter-in-law Abigail. Mick will be sadly missed by his sons Michael and Darren, daughter Georgina, grandchildren Amelie and Jimmy, brothers Christy, John and Tommy, sister Josephine, partner Lizzie, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Roscommon (formerly of Swift Dry Cleaners, Castlerea) - 8th November 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Nancy and daughter Jacqueline. Paddy will be sadly missed by his loving daughters Nicola (Connell), Donna (McHugh) and Erika (Sweeney), his brothers Chris and Peter, seven adored grandchildren Kelvin, Clive, Kianna, Derek, Kaleb, Leah and Lauren, sons-in-law Seamus, Jim and Michael, and his sisters-in-law Kathleen, Bridgie and Mary, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.
