Joy is not only something we acquire — it’s something we perceive.
Many of the best parts of life are subtle. A quiet morning. A kind message. A task completed. A lesson learned the hard way. These moments rarely arrive with fanfare. They don’t announce themselves as milestones. If we rush through our days distracted, comparing, or focusing only on what’s missing, we overlook what’s already present.
Human attention works like a filter. Whatever we consistently look for becomes what we experience most. If we train our minds to scan for problems, inconveniences, and shortcomings, our lives will seem heavy with them. But if we intentionally look for progress, connection, beauty, and small wins, those begin to multiply in our awareness.
Importantly, this idea is not about denial or forced positivity. Difficulties are real. Pain is real. But even within challenge, there are often elements worth noticing: resilience growing, support from others, lessons forming, strength being built. The ability to see these does not erase hardship — it balances it.
My yoga classes are thoughtfully designed to deepen your self-awareness — helping you notice more of what’s happening within you, physically and emotionally. Through intentional movement, breath, and stillness, you’ll learn to pause, reflect, and gently train your mind to recognize abundance rather than absence
