Hi, I’m Maria — I’m 30 years old and after over 6 years in high-pressure corporate sales and more than a decade in fast-paced, customer-facing hospitality, I know firsthand the toll that stress, burnout, and constant pressure can take on both mind and body. These experiences led me to discover the transformative power of breath — and now, as a certified Somatic Breathwork Facilitator, I’ve made it my mission to share this healing modality with the world.

Long before pubs and pints, our ancestors gathered through music, movement, rhythm and community to connect, to celebrate, to feel alive together.

Maybe you’re curious about ecstatic dance, but a sober night out feels a little intimidating you’re not alone. So many people feel this at first (even me!), especially when friends aren’t quite ready to join. It is pure medicine for our souls.

Our Paddy’s Week Celtic Tribal twist themed — RíRá Céilí Sacred Ruckus returns with the incredible .jedi ☘️

No alcohol.
No substances.

Just music, movement, community and connection.

And there’s a huge reason nights like this matter.

Dance is medicine.

Therapists are now prescribing dance and movement to trauma survivors not as a warm-up, but as part of the actual treatment.

Because stress and trauma don’t just affect your mood.

They keep the nervous system stuck in high alert, which shuts down the brain’s natural play and creativity circuits.

And play is how the brain heals, adapts and rewires.

But you don’t need clinical trauma or to be suffering for this to apply to you.

Deadlines.
Financial stress.
Relationship friction.

That constant low-grade stress still raises adrenaline.
It still dampens your play system.
It still makes thinking more rigid and limits creativity and connection.

Research shows that even one hour a week of novel, low-stakes movement can begin to shift this.

And dance does something unique.

Unlike repetitive exercise, dance introduces novelty, rhythm and unpredictability activating the brain’s learning and neuroplasticity circuits.

You don’t have to be good at it. In fact, it often works better when you’re not.

Your brain is built to play. Stress might make it harder to access but the circuits are still there.

This St. Patrick’s Day I’d love to share some good energy with the community and invite you to a free morning of yoga, movement, breathwork and sound.

The intention is simply to come together, move, breathe, relax and enjoy a gentle start to the day in a welcoming space. These kinds of practices can be so nourishing, and it feels more important than ever to create spaces where we can slow down, reconnect and support each other.

This session is open to men and women (16+) and all levels are welcome — whether you’re completely new, curious to try something different, or already enjoy these kinds of classes.

I’m offering this free event as a way to give back and share the work that I love with the community. My hope is that people leave feeling lighter, calmer and connected.

There is something deeply powerful that happens when women gather in circle when we slow down, breathe, move, share and witness each other without judgement.

The Tuatha na Mban Sisterhood is a space for women who feel the call to reconnect with themselves and grow alongside other conscious women.

Each month we explore a theme for personal growth.

✨ This month’s theme: Self-Mastery & Intention

Self-mastery is not about being perfect or having everything figured out.

It’s about learning to meet yourself with honesty, compassion and awareness and consciously choosing the life you want to create.

Inside the sisterhood we gather three times per month for:

🌿 Yoga, breathwork & meditation
🌿 Sharing circles & reflection & exploration of monthly themes.
🌿 Somatic embodiment practices
🌿 Guest facilitator workshops

Our next guest is the incredible in April.

Join me Saturday 4th April at 5:30pm at Salt & Soul Yoga Studio, Strandhill, for a curated somatic journey that activates all five senses and gently guides you into the flow state a space of complete absorption, energised focus and inner ease.

During this experience you will:

🌿 Move, stretch and flow through music-led somatic movement, yoga flow and ecstatic expression.
🕯 Drop into guided meditation and visualisation, supporting subconscious connection, nervous system regulation and inner clarity.

I just wanted to share my current offerings around Cavan and online there are some beautiful ways to connect over the coming weeks:

✨ Tuesday resets - 6.45 Slow Flow Somatic Yoga in the amazing – such a special space to practice in Belturbet. PAYG option or blocks.

✨ Flourish – 8 Week Block starting this Thursday in Cavan town – only 4 spaces left. If you’ve been thinking about it, this could be your sign 🌿 it’s a deep transformational journey.

✨ Wednesday Online Sisterhood Circles – Tuatha Na Mban. 7.30-9.00pm. this incredible online community is growing so beautifully. If getting to in-person events feels difficult right now, this is absolutely for you. Connection, support and depth from the comfort of your own home. Sisterhood has been a game changer in my growth and healing.

✨ Friday 20th March Paddys Week Special, shake of stagnant energy and find freedom through movement in an incredible community.!

✨ I’m also offering 1:1 sessions, and I’m available for schools and corporate work, excited to have some fun upcoming bookings in these spaces – please reach out if you’d like to explore any of these.

Alongside all of this, I’m currently studying Compassionate Inquiry with Gabor Maté. I’ll share more about this soon- it’s been truly been a life-changing method of therapy for me personally, and I can’t wait to begin weaving it more deeply into my work.

I’m down with the flu right now and on moon time, and feeling extra grateful for the practices and modalities that help me centre and ground. The world feels like a crazy place at the moment, so this is your gentle reminder to take breaks from social media, to ground, to breathe and to take care of yourself.

You can’t pour from an empty cup. You can’t thrive in survival mode.
