December 31, 2025 ends with a quiet gift from the cosmos. 🌙✨
As night settles in, the waxing gibbous Moon glides past the Pleiades — the ancient Seven Sisters — creating one of the most graceful and photogenic sky pairings of the year.

✨ The Alignment

The Moon
Glowing at nearly 89% full, the Moon rises early and floods the evening with silver light. Its broad face turns landscapes pale and reflective — like a natural lantern guiding the final hours of 2025 toward something new.

The Seven Sisters
Just 7.5° east of the Moon, the Pleiades shimmer softly in Ta**us. To the naked eye, six or seven stars sparkle like frost. Through binoculars, dozens emerge — a compact jewel box of blue-white fire. Formed about 445 light-years away, these young stars are brilliant, bound, and born together.

🌌 A Sky Written in Myth

Few star clusters have guided humanity like this one.
In Greek legend, they were sisters lifted into the heavens.
In Japan, they are Subaru — “to unite.”
In Māori tradition, Matariki marks the turning of the year.
In Hindu texts, they shine as Krittika, keepers of sacred fire.

Across cultures and centuries, the Seven Sisters have always meant time, transition, and renewal.

🔭 How to Watch

As twilight fades, look east and let Ta**us rise. The Moon and Pleiades stay close all night — unhurried and luminous. With binoculars, the view becomes unforgettable: glowing lunar craters beside delicate star-fire, sharing the same frame.

Step outside on New Year’s Eve.
Let your eyes adjust.
