Esker Rí Nursing Home Home from home stay Located just outside Clara in Co. Offaly, Esker Rí is a bright, modern, purpose-built facility with 143 beds.

We offer long‑term, respite, convalescent, dementia and palliative care. Our home features ensuite bedrooms, multiple lounge and dining spaces, sheltered gardens, and a chapel. On-site physiotherapy, dietitian support, laundry services, and Wi‑Fi ensure residents are cared for and comfortable. Our daily activities—from gentle exercise and pet therapy to arts & crafts, music and outings—foster well

-being and social connection. We also support spiritual needs through multi‑denominational services. At Esker Rí, we focus on compassionate, personalised care in a welcoming, home-like setting.

🐟🍟 A Treat for Our Residents! 💙

At Friday’s residents meeting, a few of our residents mentioned they had a real craving for some good old-fashioned fish and chips… so we made it happen!

A big thank you to Mario from Mario’s Clara for kindly sorting us out with delicious fish, chips, and all the sauces. 🙌

We’re delighted to say it went down an absolute treat — our residents loved it! Smiles all around and plenty of happy conversations over a classic favourite.

It’s always the little things that make a big difference 💙

What a lovely day spent with families and friends for Daffodil Day 🌼

Such a great cause and a fantastic atmosphere all around. Trevor Kavanagh had everyone going with a few songs, and the residents were singing and dancing — it was brilliant to see.

There was such a lovely sense of community, and the food was great too!

Many of our residents, families, and staff have been touched by cancer in some way, and today is a chance to honour survivors, remember loved ones, and support vital cancer services.🎗

To everyone taking part, donating, volunteering or wearing a daffodil, thank you for helping bring hope to those who need it most. 💚

☘️ What a fantastic St. Patrick’s Day we had! ☘️

We started the day with some lovely Irish coffees before welcoming Rahan Ceoltas, who brought wonderful traditional music and great energy to the day. We even had a surprise visit from St. Patrick himself, which gave everyone a great laugh! 🍀

The celebrations continued into the evening with beautiful music from Katie Healy, and we finished the day with a delicious takeaway.

Our residents had a brilliant day and it was enjoyed by all the staff too. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it such a special celebration!

Happy Mother’s Day 💐

We honour all the mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and mother figures whose love, guidance, and strength continue to shape our lives. We also hold in our hearts the mothers who are no longer with us, but whose memory and impact remain deeply felt. And to those who are looking forward to becoming mothers, we celebrate you too.

Across all our Evergreen Care nursing homes, we are privileged to care for so many remarkable women. We are equally grateful for our dedicated staff, many of whom are mothers themselves, who share their compassion and care each and every day 💗
