I think we all deserve a card!

I feel the card translates to feel the fear and do it anyway.

As I get older 'the fear' becomes more frequent. Nothing magical just my body aging and I think it is a natural part of the process. My coping with it is the keeping it real.

Meditation etc ya they can help but imho having someone to talk stuff through with is more valuable.

Last night after a very long day I sat eating my dinner and watched a documentary on Netflix.

I have always loved wildlife programmes and a powerful childhood memory is always watching something on a Sunday evening with the rest of the family. We would usually then play at being monkeys or apes and invariably it all ended up with us laughing at each other. The feelings inspired by the programmes were powerful and I think they encouraged us to really take in what we saw around us. From ladybirds in the garden to lizard type things in the bog.

I didn't imitate the gorilla's after watching the programme last night. Instead I mused on the story telling. How the David Attenborough referenced his original notebooks and how over the years his feelings developed. He wove in how Diane Fossey had worked and influenced to save the gorilla's. Different people with a shared passion. Each part of their contribution helping to the overall goal.

The technological changes over the decades were very apparent when it came to filming the gorilla's and I felt like an invited friend rather than a blundering casual observer.

Where am I going with this? I strongly believe technology is here to help us achieve better. But I am off a mind if it doesnt help us become better in ourselves then why bother with it.

Like the Gorilla's in the mist we need to work hard at preserving and developing. Sometimes the most powerful technology we have is our story telling and conveying emotions.

I would like to thank those of you who offered some suggestions on what to tinker with in the background of the page. It seems to have worked!

This year has been a roller coaster so far with much more to come I feel. More and more I find myself stepping back from the digital world and immersing myself in music for example.

Yes, life with the various wars has impacted most of us. This is a time for building and strengthening community. I observed the fuel protests in Ireland last week and found myself thinking about the social connections the protesters were making and enjoying. In a brief moment a shared purpose and understanding of hardships meant something.

Connections are still vital to our wellbeing as is eating well and moving. The sooner we start this in life the easier it is as we age.

For me this year is about looking after life on earth. The spiritual will pretty much take care of itself and I think there are times we forget this.

Now I could use AI to enhance what I have written but I think we need to focus on human efforts with its imperfections.

Well according to Facebook this page has been going 10 years!

Up until this year I've not had any issues with the content I post. Now I am getting all sorts of message saying I am violating standards with no clear reasoning for what I am doing wrong. I am going to change the name of the page and see if that will help.

Many post dont get many comments, likes or shares. I don't spend money on advertising as I don't treat this as a business.

I really dont know what to do with this now going forward as essentially the page is Shadow banned so will just exist in a barren wasteland that is digital social media.

If anyone has any ideas or thoughts please do let me know. You dont have to comment on the post you can message me directly.

Flu over Christmas meant the treat planned had been postponed.

Just because you miss out on something when you plan it doesn't mean it won't happen in the future.
