Hey guys. Busy few weeks with sports injuries! Wow, super, super hectic. What I'm seeing across the board, is lack of conditioning going into a sudden increase in intensity. Please, please players...do a quality warm up! This needs to be done to prepare your body for physical stress. It increases body temperature, heart rate, and blood flow, which delivers more oxygen to muscles, improves flexibility, and enhances range of motion. Coaches, please spend time encouraging a good warm up as the majority of players I'm treating have not been involved in winter training and seem to be pushed very quickly into intense drills and performance matches.
