Signs gone up for this year's Cratloe GOAL mile! Remember you can register online and also donate online,or throw a few euro into our GOAL buckets on the day. While Covid has restricted so many of our usual Christmas events the GOAL mile can go ahead and tick lots of Christmas boxes: the feel-good factor of helping the less well off, the social side of safely meeting our neighbours and friends, the appetite-building walk, run or jog and the getting away from the screen and food! See you on Christmas Day at the Cratloe entrance to the woods between 10 and 11.30am!

I have just shared my 0-6 weeks postnatal videos on youtube so if you are interested in some gentle exercises from 0-6 weeks after vaginal delivery and 0-7 weeks after Caesarean delivery check these out. They are short, simple and safe exercises for those early days after having your baby that will allow you to move and gently reconnect with your pelvic floor and deep tummy muscles as well as to prevent low back pain and some of the aches associated with rest and new baby tasks. There is an important emphasis on rest in those early days but these exercises will help you to look ahead to returning to normal exercise and also to dealing with issues such as resolving Pelvic Girdle Dysfunction, low back pain, tailbone pain, pelvic floor pain, vaginal pressure and more. This is it the 0-2 week post vaginal video but all are available on youtube. Hope you find them useful. I have full programs also available on myfitphysio.com. Enjoy!

These are some exercises for anyone who experiences symptoms of prolapse. They are mat-based and are good for a day when you are feeling pressure or heaviness in your vagina/pelvis, increased urgency, and general discomfort. If you have not had your symptoms checked out, go to a women's health physio or GP to find out what is going on. Knowledge is power and a plan will instantly reduce the stress and worry that can accompany symptoms of prolapse. This video focuses on reducing symptoms while strengthening your pelvic floor in a supported position.
