We also provide first aid cover at local events, patient transports to and from hospital appointments. The Irish Red Cross works both at home in Ireland and in countries overseas which have been damaged by wars or natural disasters. Claremorris Red Cross delivers training in the local community which benefits both you and your family and also the wider community. Claremorris Red Cross attends events and provides first aid cover , covering the Mayo Stages Rally Claremorris, equestrian events, cycle races, GAA , to the All-Ireland athletics in Athlone. Today was a special day for Claremorris Red Cross, our long serving member Ger McCallig along with his wife Noreen travelled to the Mansion House in Dublin to receive his 50 years of service award. Representing our unit was Kieran and Kelly was there representing the board of the Irish Red Cross.
A lovely day all round listening to some of the stories from some of the long standing members from around Ireland.

Today is European 1️⃣1️⃣2️⃣ Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness of 112 as a European-wide emergency number.

In Ireland 48% of people are aware that you can use 112 as a national emergency number (as well as 999), and only 43% are aware that 112 works across the EU.

Our Annual Food Appeal is taking place this Friday & Saturday at Claremorris SuperValu

We welcome all types of non-perishable food etc for later distribution to needy families in our community.

We are very grateful to Damian Hall and his Team at SuperValu for allowing us access to do our Food Appeal, and we thank you all for your ongoing support.
