It is with great regret I have to inform you that due to personal reasons Clifden Dental will close on 20th January.
For the benefit of continuation of patient care I will continue to practice at Smiles Dental , 21 Middle Street Galway City H91FY7P. Tel 091 575007.
It has been a privilege to be associated with such wonderful patients over the last 15 years and I wish to thank you all for your support and encouragement.

DENTAL CLINICS REMAIN OPEN AS AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE DURING LEVEL 5 RESTRICTIONS

In line with the recent government announcement surrounding Covid 19 we would like to reassure our patients that we continue to operate in the safest possible way , adhering to guidelines from our governing body the Irish Dental Council.

⚠️ If you are feeling unwell or have flulike symptoms please do not attend the clinic .
Please sanitise your hands on entry.
We will continue to take your temperature on arrival .
Please wear your mask until asked to remove it . ⚠️

We are delighted to inform you that as of Monday 16th June we will be resuming normal services.

We have been following closely the HSE and Dental Council guidelines and have implemented some changes . As always we are committed to your safety and so have introduced the following measures .

▪️Staggered & lengthened appointments
▪️Pre-appointment screening
▪️Staff and patient temperature checks
▪️Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
▪️Aerosol reduction/mitigation measures
▪️Increased infection prevention & control (IPC) processes
▪️Addition of air purifier machines
▪️Installation of Perspex screen for reception

We will be contacting all patients who had their appointments cancelled during lockdown to re-book and we continue to accept new patients.

We also continue to provide telephone support and advice should you wish to continue ‘cocooning’.

Clifden Dental is reopening soon!

As Covid 19 poses a substantial risk from prolonged close contact it is important to maintain a safe environment for our patients and staff.
To establish this we will be following the recent government advice and guidelines.
Until a vaccine is developed to combat Covid19 we are changing the way we manage our practice.

1. Only attend if you have an appointment.
2. Please attend at the time of your scheduled appointment , wait in your car and call us to check in.
3.Please attend alone ( with the exception of a parent or carer).
4.Appointment times will be longer and spaced further apart to allow for surgery air- clearance and decontamination.
5. You will be asked to hand sanitise when entering, taking care not to touch surfaces.
6.We must try to limit the use of drills and scalers which create aerosols ( droplet spread into the air)as much as possible .
Therefore any treatment creating aerosols will be carried out with extra precautions and only done at certain times of the day.
7.A list of instructions and a medical questionnaire for you to download are available here and we would ask that you forward the
questionnaire, in confidence, to info@clifdendental.ie at least 24 hours before your appointment .

Due to Covid-19, Clifden Dental is temporarily closed for routine dental treatment .
The safety of everyone is our number one priority.....the dental setting is too high risk due to close contact as well as aerosol spread of droplets.
If you have a dental emergency, we would ask that you please contact the surgery by email or leave a message on 095 22731and we will do our best to help you.
Please don’t call your GP or attend A&E as they are overwhelmed at the moment with Covid 19.
Also if you have any queries or concerns feel free to contact us.
All patients with appointments will be contacted and rescheduled.
