Just sharing a lovely testimonial

I met Sharon at the beginning of my fertility journey, and she made me feel safe and comfortable straight away. She created a personalized treatment plan for me and ensured I was comfortable during each session. I looked forward to each treatment and walked away feeling like a new person. Going through fertility treatments is not an easy journey due to the nature of it and the amount of medicine and hormones your body has to take. Getting acupuncture treatment definitely made this journey more enjoyable and easier. I would highly recommend Sharon to anyone who is going through their fertility journey or in need of feeling better both mentally and physically. I truly believe that meeting Sharon and having acupuncture helped me successfully become pregnant.

I initially went to Sharon to see if she could help with fertility issues but also to get my period back to a regular cycle. From the moment I met her, she made me feel at home and is very warm and easy to get on with. The initial appointment was great to go through my detailed background/health and understand what was happening, I thought it was great that she went into so much detail. I initially went to her weekly and really enjoyed going as it was so relaxing and after a couple of months my periods came back to a regular cycle. I continued to go to see her and also started to also take Chinese herbs which I think really helped. She also gave me other tips and recommendations each week on fertility as well which was great and I've recently found out that I am pregnant! When I told Sharon the great news, I could tell that she was just as happy as I was!! I highly recommend Sharon and would recommend visiting no matter what your issue is.

Hi, for those who don’t know me I’m Sharon McGinty. This is a little bit about me: 😊

I’ve been practicing Acupuncture since 2011 when I graduated from the Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland with a Diploma and Licentiate in Acupuncture. I am a registered Acupuncturist with the AFPA, the oldest and largest professional body for practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Ireland.

I also studied Chinese Herbal Medicine and am registered with Association of Chinese Herbal Medicine in Ireland. I have studied Chinese Medicine Dermatology with World renowned Mazin Al Khafaji and Master Tung Acupuncture with Susan Johnson. I have also studied with Trevor Wing in Chinese Medicine Gynaecology.

I am also a Registered General Nurse with experience working in general medicine, surgery, general practice, care of the elderly and addiction. I draw upon this experience and knowledge to provide a holistic, person centered approach for each patient, treating each individual according to their specific symptoms. Through the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I aim to focus on promoting health, preventing illness and treating health challenges through natural alternatives that compliment and enhance Western Medicine.

Because Chinese Medicine looks after the whole person it can treat & help many conditions - Pain, Digestive Issues, Menstrual Problems, Fertility Issues, Anxiety and symptoms caused by stress, Sports Injuries to list a few.

I have completed a clinical internship at the World Health Organisation Collaborative Centre of Traditional Medicine at Nanjing University, China. During this time I had the privilege to work with Dr Wen Lie Qiao, who is well respected across Europe. It was from her that I learnt Abdominal Acupuncture which is actually new in TCM terms. Her principle of pain free needling, use of as few needles as possible along with a gentle consultative approach with patients is proven to create optimum results.
