Itโ€™s been another big week for us across all areas of the business.

Alongside Pro Recovery, which is starting to pick up again for the new year clients coming in for ice baths, compression boots, and sauna, our coaching side has been in full swing.

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ Tipperary U20s

We were up in Dublin with the Tipperary U20s for challenge game this week. Good to see boys implement the work that has being done so far.

This week we were also able to get a training session in, followed by a full gym session, where we focused on strength work, movement quality, and form

โšฝ Youth Development

Weโ€™ve officially started back our Youth Development Programme in Cahir, itโ€™s been brilliant to get going again.

Weโ€™re currently working with 60+ young athletes, split across age groups:

Older lads:
โ€ข Training programmes
โ€ข Strength & athletic development

Younger lads:
โ€ข Basic movement patterns
โ€ข Teamwork, footwork, speed, and plyometrics
โ€ข Building strong foundations for long-term GAA development

Huge credit to this couple over the last 12 weeks ๐Ÿ”ฅ

The male, coming from a GAA background, needed a more sports-specific approach but we still worked on body composition, running sessions, and dedicated rehab.
He dropped weight, added strength, and even hit a few PBs along the way ๐Ÿ’ฅ

The female, never missed a beat. Showed up, stayed consistent, and got the work done every single time ๐Ÿ™Œ even when she had to get a minor knee procedure right in the middle of the program, which meant we had to adjust training to help with rehabilitation, it never stopped her getting into the gym and working on something.

One of her goals was to be able to do a pull up and went from not being not able to do a single pull up unassisted, to doing sets of 3. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

Two different programs. Two different sets of macros and portions. Both helped each other stay on track.
One shared mindset and their results speak for themselves.

Buzzing to get them back in January and keep the momentum rolling.

Why is the Off-Season important?

The Off-Season is usually a minefield for so many athletes!

Some think it's ok to put the feet up and enjoy the break from team training "ah sure il get fit in pre season" attitude!

And the smart athletes know this is where you get a chance to set yourself up for the season to put your best foot forward ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

What you can achieve in this period:

โœ… Set standards for the year - How you train decides how you will perform! Work-rate off the pitch can shape your entire 2026!

โœ… Address any injuries or niggles - Can you guarantee a year without injuries no but if you address them early you give yourself the best chance!

โœ… Address your weak areas in 2025 - Did you feel unfit? Feel like you weren't strong enough? Now is the time to address that!

โœ… Return ready to rock not rebuild - Your goal is to arrive at team training in 2026 prepared to train not using it to get fit! When you show up conditioned and sharp you then can focused on performance, not survival!

We are absolutely delighted to be joining the Tipperary U20 football set-up as S&C coaches this season. Itโ€™s a massive honour for both of us, not just to be involved, but to be able to bring our own experience as players and now as coaches into a programme we genuinely care about.

Weโ€™re really looking forward to working with the players, management and backroom team, and helping create a professional environment that supports these lads as they develop into future senior players. The goal is simple: make them better athletes, better footballers, and better prepared for what comes next.

Over the next few months, weโ€™ll be sharing more of the journey, how gym work transfers to the pitch, the challenges that come with S&C with this age group and how the both of us will be sharing the load throughout the season.

Weโ€™re proud to be part of this group, excited to get started, and hopefully looking forward to a successful season ๐Ÿ”ต๐ŸŸก

Off-Season Programs ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

Over the past few years, we have worked with players at all levels - underage, ladies and menโ€™s - helping them build strength, and go into each season feeling fitter, faster and more confident.

The same pattern shows up every year
The players who take this period seriously always start the next season a step ahead. They move better, recover faster, and can handle higher training loads when the pitch sessions ramp up again.

Right now, your focus shouldnโ€™t just be on โ€œstaying in shape.โ€
Itโ€™s about building the base that will carry you through pre-season and beyond.

A good off-season plan should:
โœ… Rebuild your strength and address weak links that caused niggles during the season
โœ… Rebuild your aerobic engine so youโ€™re not playing catch-up in January
โœ… Keep you moving well with mobility and movement prep
โœ… Manage load properly so you recover and avoid burnout before pre-season even starts

Weโ€™ve been out in local primary schools this week introducing the skills of hurling ๐Ÿ‘ Itโ€™s brilliant to see pupils at such a young age picking up the game, and even better knowing that this can feed back into local clubs like St. Maryโ€™s to keep the sport growing in the community ๐Ÿ™Œ

We were delighted to have a ladies football team use our facilities early in the week as they prepare for a county final this weekend. We also had a local soccer club In last night who used ice baths, infrared saunas, and compression boots.

Students got to experience some excellent recovery facilities, including cryotherapy, jacuzzis, a sauna, and compression boots. There were definitely a few shocked faces during the cold plunge! ๐Ÿฅถ

Heโ€™s down roughly 5kg while making the transition from playing GAA to full-on endurance training ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ - but always kept body composition a priority. Even with the added miles and tough sessions, he never skipped the gym work ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿ‘ Schools Program โ€“ delighted to be back working with local schools, introducing hurling to underage kids and getting the next generation moving.

โ›ฐ๏ธ Knockmedown Race โ€“ brilliant fay out. Over 60 people dropped by our stall to try out the compression boots.

๐Ÿ’ช Ladies Senior Football coaching โ€“ great to be on the pitch with the team as they push into the business end of their season.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Recovery Hub โ€“ steady flow of athletes in for recovery, from multiple sports. Fantastic to be teaming up with local running groups again as they gear up for the Dublin Marathon.

๐Ÿ“ฒ Online Coaching โ€“ athletes and fat-loss programs ticking along nicely, with plenty of progress being made.
