Equestrian Tai Chi & Tao Riding

Equestrian Tai Chi & Tao Riding Online Equestrian Tai Chi Training for Equestrians, Riding Instructors and Therapeutic Riding Instruc She has been teaching since 2002. Jenny Pim was born in Co.

Jenny Pim is a Certified Tai Chi Instructor, registered with the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain. She's a Certified Riding Coach, registered with Horse Sport Ireland. She's been involved with horses all her life, owning and breeding many wonderful Connemara ponies. She started practicing Tai Chi on her own ponies and noticed how much they enjoyed it and how it seemed to calm some of the more nervous ponies. They showed many of the typical signs that they were happy and content, such as softening their eyes, lowering their heads and resting a hind leg. Jenny also noticed how it helped her feel more settled and more connected to everything, particularly Nature. She bonded more with the ponies and they seemed calmer and happier in their daily lives. The ponies seemed to enjoy connecting on an energetic level. Realising the benefits of practicing Equestrian Tai Chi (as she called it), to both herself and her ponies, and to her connection with them, she developed a programme for teaching people Equestrian Tai Chi, who had no previous knowledge of Tai Chi. Wexford, Ireland. She attended Newtown School in Waterford, a boarding school run by The Society of Friends, before going on to study Irish language and Greek and Roman Classical Civilization in Trinity College Dublin. She then went on to study Archival Science in University College Dublin. She worked on the private papers of Lord Killanin, President of The International Olympic Committee, before moving to London, where she worked for a short while in the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square. She then went to work for Christie's the Art Auctioneers in King Street, London. It was while she was at Christie's in the middle of the Art boom in the late eighties and early nineties, that she became interested in the Far East and its culture. This led to her learning Tai Chi and later becoming an instructor.

Bridging the Gap between between our worlds.

Two different species - one way we can connect.

We are very similar to our horses in many ways, we both have physical bodies that are quite similar, apart from the obvious differences. We both have energy systems that are also very similar. We both have spirits or souls, but we have been condensed down into two different species. Our species have different needs and ways of being.

Years ago Taoists understood that there were two ways of being. One way was the way of being of the Tao and the other way was the way of being of Mankind.

The way of being of Mankind, is that we are controlled by our thinking and the memories in our minds, we are not aware of energy naturally, or our Heart-Minds.

Whereas our horses are in the way of being of the Tao as they are from Nature. They have more access to their Heart-minds, they have a natural ability in sensing energy around them and in others. They are spontaneous and as prey animals, act according to how they feel about the circumstances around them

These two different ways of being can cause a lack of connection between us and our horse.

In Chi Connection and Energy Riding for Equestrians, we can bridge the gap between the two worlds, by being able to be with the horse in the energy that is natural for him and easy for him to be in, and to work with this energy in ourselves to help us both.

We can still be in our realm or world, but we can also move into the realm that is natural for horses to be in too.

Chi Connection is a training for riders who’d like to let go of the memories of fears of their past, to be able to manage their emotions in the present, and to develop a deep and lasting bond with their horse through working with theirs and their horse’s energy.

In Chi Connection, we learn to let go of what is affecting us and our horse negatively and to enhance how we can connect positively.

When we feel safe and happy when we're with our horse, we can affect our horse and help him too.

The practices we learn in Chi Connection will help to build a deep and lasting connection with our horse, that is emotionally satisfying for both of us.

Five Element Chi Gung With Horses & Nature is open for registration!

This Program is for people who care deeply about horses and who would like to learn a practice that is beneficial for horses as well as humans.

It is Open for Registration at the moment and registration closes on the 12th of October.

Maybe you've heard about the Five Elements, and know the different organs, seasons, and emotions they're related to and this is something that interests you?

The Five Elements are in everything that is formed and are inside all physical and non-physical dynamics.

The Five Elements are an important part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where the idea is to bring the elements into balance to help people.

If the Five Elements are in balance people benefit physically, emotionally and mentally.

Learning to work with the energy of the Five Elements with Chi Gung improves, health and vitality and emotional and mental wellbeing.

Five Element Chi Gung With Horses & Nature is a program where we learn to feel these elements in us and to balance them in ourselves in the presence of horses to help ourselves and our horses as well.

We also learn to connect with the elements in Nature; with trees, the Earth, and with water.

Five Element Chi Gung With Horses & Nature is for people who already have a qualification for working with horses and people and who have an in person client base who would benefit from and appreciate this practice.

When we have strong emotions, the pressures and tensions in our body cause energy to be blocked in our body with a memory of how we felt at the time.

Over time as the blockages get added to, they can cause imbalances in our body and prevent our chi from flowing freely in our body and they also prevent it from flowing in harmony with our horse when we ride.

These energetic blockages can be triggered if we're in a similar situation to the one we were in when the energy blockage was first formed, and they continue to affect us.

They affect our horse too, as he can sense the energy of them in the field we share with him.

We can learn to let go of these blockages so they don’t trigger us and cause us to feel more nervous than we should, and so they don’t affect our horse too in the field that we share.

We can learn ways to manage our emotions with our energy and our breath and we can learn to work with the energy of the field we share with our horse to help us feel calm and connected.

This is what we learn in Chi Connection in the Tao Riding Membership, if you’d like to be on the waitlist to hear about Chi Connection, please click below.
