Walking through life isn't always easy.  What you want may not have turned out the way you had planned.  It doesn't mean it's anything you have done that is wrong.  The more you grow, the more you might find your views changing.  People and ideas may no longer align with you and what your hopes and dreams are for the future. Many carry anger, resentment, and bitterness, and all this does is consume them. It makes people bitter, and they get caught in a vicious circle or ground hog day.  You don't have to forgive people for how they have treated you.  You have to forgive them in your own way so you can heal and move forward to finding true happiness in the future.  Forgiveness is hard, but it gives you the freedom that you deserve, and we all deserve the peace, happiness, and love in our lives, which freedom gives you.

Never give up on the happiness you want and deserve.  Never give up on the dreams you may have lost along the way.  Just like a train, it has different stations it stops, and when it's ready, it moves on again.  And when you are ready and you give yourself permission to do so, so will you.   Remember, you are the one who decides what happens in your life.
