If like Deirdre, your favourite decade for music is the 60s, then tune in to her “Good Vibes Show” on Wednesday from 8:00/10:00pm, where she’ll have a Guess the year feature with songs and facts from the 1960s. She’ll also have Guess the year from the decade of legwarmers and the wonderful and weird fashion and hairstyles, the 1980s. Do you remember all the old dances? On this week's edition of “Stories from Cork and Beyond”, John concludes the two part programme with former BBC TV Newsreader Denis Tuohy.
This week... getting thrown off a Pirate Whaling Ship in Portugal and playing a seedy two-timing surgeon in Fair City.....
And....
A snippet of a programme to come......
Ninety year old John O'Leary talks about riding a tinkers donkey into a classroom of his national school, confronting De Valera during the 1954 General Election,
being blamed for causing the Battle of Bray even though he was nowhere near and being in court as a man was sentenced to hang.
And all of this as a fledgling member of An Garda Siochana.
Join John Greene for “Stories from Cork and Beyond” on this Sunday evening from 4:00 until 6:00pm on

He was once a resident of Castletownbere and his Great Grandfather was a school Principal in Bandon.
Joining John Greene on “Stories From Cork and Beyond this week is former London based BBC TV Newsreader and film maker Denis Tuohy, the first Catholic to be employed by the BBC.
In his career, Tuohy presided over 8 UK General Elections.
Margaret Thatcher referred to her interview with him in the '79 Election as being the most hostile ever.
While film making he spent a day with the Charles Manson 'Family', getting out at just the right time. One of his interviewees that day was later charged with the attempted murder of the US President.
“Stories From Cork and Beyond with John Greene” can be heard on CUH fm Hospital Radio this Sunday evening between 4:00/6:00pm.
