There will be 2 mystery years in Guess the year, a song in a foreign language, a one hit wonder, a jazz slot and a seanfhocal (Irish language proverb).

Due to unforeseen circumstances
“Stories from Cork and Beyond” was not broadcast last Sunday but fear not you haven’t missed a thing. John Greene will present it again this coming weekend. Here is a reminder of what to expect.
“At 8am on the morning of September 23rd 1962, Tiger Flight 923 takes off from Gander Airport in Newfoun̈dland on its way to Frankfurt in Germany.
Civilians, military and crew make up the 76 on board.
The plane will not however make it to Frankurt and 18 of the 76 will perish in the bitter cold and raging seas of the Atlantic Ocean, 500 miles from land.
This weeks edition of “Stories from Cork and Beyond” brings John Greene to Glengarriffe to meet Fred Caruso one of the survivors of flight 923.
Fred who has since changed his name to O'Caruso because of his Irish connections, discovers that being rescued is only the start of a long road to recovery after a tragedy caused by pilot error and mechanical failure.
A first hand account of the ill fated Tiger Flight 923 this Sunday evening on “Stories from Cork and Beyond” on
CUH fm Hospital Radio”
Join John Greene from 4:00 until 6:00pm.
