We are a private, custom-built counselling centre, located in Douglas, Cork, and open 9am-9pm all week, including weekends and holidays. We are here whenever you need to speak to somebody about issues that worry you. The Hazelton Clinic has a panel of experienced psychotherapists, psychologists, counsellors, and a resident psychiatrist. We provide services for both adults and children of all ages. Appointments are usually available within 24 hours and are at a time that suits you. Dermot is a compassionate therapist supporting clients with anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, and addiction. His specialist focus includes alcohol, drug, and gambling addictions, working with the underlying trauma that often drives unhealthy patterns.

His approach is primarily person-centred (Rogerian), offering a safe, confidential space where clients move at their own pace. He also integrates CBT and Reality Therapy to help identify unhelpful behaviours and support meaningful, lasting change.
