John Daly Opticians, situated in Cork city centre has built a strong reputation in Cork for the past 51 years. We are based on Oliver Plunkett Street which is close to all transport links.
We now have an exciting opportunity for an Optometrist to join our team for up to 3 days / 24 hours per week (Monday, Thursday and Friday); 9am – 5:30pm (no Sunday’s or late evenings).

Our aim is to deliver obsessively great service to each and every one of our clients which is at the core of what we do. Our eye testing times are 30 minutes each we have a well-equipped and professionally staffed practice.

Following the change to Level 5 restrictions, we want to reassure our customers that, as an essential service, we will remain open with increased Covid-19 precautions for the safety of our staff and customers.
Opening hours Monday – Sat 9am – 5pm and open throughout lunchtime.
We are working on an appointment basis so please phone us on 021-4277911 .
Please be on time for your appointment and where possible come on your own.
All persons who enter the practice will be recorded for contract tracing.
Temperature check will be carried out on arrival before an eye examination in the bullet points
If you do not feel well before your appointment DO NOT attend and we can organise another time for you.
Hand sanitizer is available on entrance to the practice.
All surfaces will be cleaned and sanitised between patients.
Our staff have appropriate PPE.
Please respect the social distancing of 2 metres distance to the next person.
We are happy to help you select a new frame/sunglasses but this must be done with a staff member who will help with social distancing and also the sanitation of frames afterwards.

For the past three weeks of a new beginning we have been opened and while we were so stressed to be the first tier of the re opening we have a new way of doing business,,,,its all OK and wishing everyone re opening tomorrow the best of luck...... so great to have businesses open on the city and cheers to the new norm.
