I worked for many years in Cork and the UK in various roles culminating in working as a Specialist IT Recruitment Consultant. My second child was diagnosed with a Life-threatening Disease, Cystic Fibrosis (CF). This mainly affects the lungs as well as the digestive system and internal organs. This changed the trajectory of our/my life and I decided to remain at home with my daughters. Nutrition is one of the keys to wellness for CF. They have difficulty in absorbing nutrients and calories from their food/diet. I was committed to our daughter the best start possible. Exercise and lifestyle is of huge importance also, particularly for lung clearance. I was actively researching ways to keep the body healthy and well. Having experienced some health concerns in recent years myself, I came to believe that its not only what you put into your body that matters, its how you move it, how you treat it, how you look after it matters too. This lead me to study Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching (NLC), thus leading me here today. Nutrition and Lifestyle coaching focuses on diet and lifestyle advice. To redress nutritional imbalances for disease prevention, optimum health and the client’s peak performance. I take a collaborative approach with the client/s, focusing on the individual as a whole, not just the physical but also personal well-being.
