Another very happy mom sharing her experience with her placenta pills with Placenta Practice in the U.K. 💗
・・・
Here I am, armed with my trusty placenta capsules 😂❤️
This post is sooo over due and you guys ask me about it all the time so I thought I’d put all the info in one post for you. It’s not sponsored or any kind of advert, just my honest opinion and experience ☺️
I had my placenta encapsulated with the incredible Amanda at and I couldn’t possibly recommend her enough. She’s wonderfully kind, helpful and supportive and I absolutely love her to pieces. It’s so important that you choose a placenta encapsulation specialist who is highly qualified and clinically safe. Amanda is the best of the best. Thoroughly vetted, highly trained and not enough fingers and toes to count all of her qualifications on 😂
In the weeks following giving birth to Esmé, I took my placenta capsules and was shocked at how amazing I felt. I was expecting the worst and spent my entire pregnancy worrying about postnatal depression. Everyone said the first few weeks were the most overwhelming, but I felt so calm and serene. Waking up in the middle of the night 10 times to feed her did not bother me at all, I had suspiciously high energy despite barely sleeping, and for someone who usually cries quite a lot - I couldn’t believe how emotionally stable I felt. To be honest it felt a little too good to be true, but I wasn’t complaining 😂
Of course, I was skeptical. I wondered if the capsules were just working as a placebo effect. That was until I started to feel terrible and couldn’t stop crying for a few days, and only realised afterwards that I had forgotten to take my capsules. Then I knew it was the real deal. My little happy pills ❤️🌈
The placenta is a magical thing. There will be people who tell you it’s gross, wrong, dangerous and a stupid idea and try to convince you not to do it.
It’s your body, your baby, your placenta, your choice. Nobody can tell you what to do, and if they disapprove so much then do it in secret 😂
Your mental health is so bloody important, especially after giving birth. I truly, honestly believe that placenta encapsulation is amazing, and I will do it with every single one of my future pregnancies ☺️❤️
