We are pleased to announce that the annual CUH Child & Family Nursing Conference will take place on Tuesday 21st April at Cork University Hospital.

This year’s theme, “Engage, Grow, Thrive”, brings together leading voices in child and family healthcare, including keynote speakers Dr Suzanne Crowe and Dr Niall Muldoon, alongside a wide range of expert contributors from clinical, academic and community settings.

The conference will run from 07:30 to 16:00, featuring presentations, panel discussions, poster displays and opportunities for professional learning and collaboration.

Here’s a simple checklist of items that can make your time in CUH more comfortable:
▫️Your medications or an up‑to‑date medication list
▫️Photo ID and any relevant documents
▫️Comfortable clothing and toiletries
▫️Phone charger or power bank
▫️A book, headphones or something to pass the time

CUH Norovirus Advice: Protect Yourself & Loved Ones

At Cork University Hospital (CUH) we’re seeing a rise in norovirus cases in the community. The ‘winter vomiting bug’ is highly contagious, causing symptoms such as sudden nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and stomach cramps. We've introduced temporary restrictions to limit the spread of this virus. Please take a moment to read:

Prevent Spread and Protect Patients, Visitors and Staff

- Visits are permitted only on compassionate grounds (for example end-of-life care).
- Compassionate visits must be arranged with the ward in advance.
- The canteen and coffee shops are not available to patients and visitors at this time.
