Treating tongue tie at the Procuro Therapy Clinic in Douglas. There are many different variations of tongue tie- here you can see the frenulum clearly. Sometimes this can be a problem with feeding. It is more the tongue function and mobility we assess as apposed to the look of the frenulum.

Tongue-Tie... here is a perfect example of a newborn baby with tongue-tie treated by our midwife Deirdre Vos-OLeary from here at our Douglas Clinic.

Symptoms of a baby with tongue-tie include

- Difficulty to latch
- Fussing/Colic/Reflux
- Clicking sounds when feeding
- Dribbling milk while feeding
- Slow to gain weight


Left untreated can cause a lot of problems down the line with digestive issues and speech problems.

Mum will have issues too like mastitis or painful feeds.
