As we close out 2025, we want to extend our deepest thanks to the healthcare workers who continue to care for our community - on Christmas Day, on holidays, and on every day that matters.

Your commitment ensures that no one is ever without support, even on the most important days of the year.

Weโ€™re equally grateful to our wider community for your continued support throughout the year. Thanks to you, presents will be delivered to CUH on Christmas Day โ€” Santa doesnโ€™t miss CUH! And over in CUMH, there will be Christmas miracles arriving safely there too.

We look forward to putting your donations to great use throughout 2026.

โœจ It truly is the most wonderful time of the year! โœจ

Yesterday, we had the absolute joy of welcoming Santa and his helpers, along with An Taoiseach Micheรกl Martin and so many familiar faces from across Cork, to CUH & CUMH to kick off the Christmas season in style!

A huge thank you to the incredible Kinsale Lions Club who never fail to go above and beyond to make this annual toy drop magical. And to MMD Construction Ltd. who spent so much time helping Santa sort and prepare the gifts before they arrived on campus - your support means the world.

We are honestly blown away by the generosity of our community. These gifts will bring smiles and joy to every child in CUH this Christmas, ensuring they feel the warmth and wonder of the season even while in hospital.

From the bottom of our hearts โ€“ thank you. โค๏ธ

It's Toy Show Night in CUH, and we're ready to go! ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ„
We want to thank Barry Group for their support, donating the most amazing goodie bags for the children to enjoy while watching The Late Late Show, year after year.

We would also like to thank Aryzta for the delicious muffins and cookies for the parents, nurses and doctors who will be there on the night looking after them.
After all, it's not just the kids who deserve a Christmas treat. ๐Ÿ˜Š

And finally, we would like to thank everyone who supports Paediatric Services at CUH. Your support is what makes the little things feel big, from decorations to pyjamas and everything in between. You make Christmas in hospital magical!

is here, and we have a message to share from Prof. Mark Corrigan.
Your support allows us to make real change, not just one-off purchases.

On Tuesday, 2nd December 2025, charities across Ireland are coming together to thank their Trustees, share inspiring stories, and encourage more people to consider volunteering at a board level.

Trustees play a vital role in guiding strategy and ensuring strong governance, enabling charities to deliver essential services to communities across the nation. Their dedication and leadership make a real difference every day.

Today, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Prof. Mark Corrigan and all of our Board and Committee members. Their commitment and insight help us stay focused on our mission and continue making a positive impact.

This Giving Tuesday, consider how you can get involved and make a difference.

CUH Charity, supports initiatives that bring comfort, connection, and healing to patients during their time in hospital. Thanks to the generous support of our donors, a newly donated piano is already making a lifting spirits.

St Finbarโ€™s Rehabilitation Unit cares for older adults recovering from falls, injuries, or surgeries. Long and challenging recoveries can be as emotionally tough as they are physically.

Dr Pรกdraigรญn Oโ€™Sullivan turned to CUH Charity to support for funding for a permanent piano. The joy these performances brought to both patients and staff made it clear, music truly is medicine.

Maureen Lancaster shares her talent and love for music with others on the unit, accompanied by porter, John on vocals. The piano offers patients, like Maureen a chance to express themselves, reminisce privately or connect with others through song.

If you support CUH Charity, thank you. Support like yours is what makes these moments possible. Our mission is "Saving & Changing Lives" and we want you with us every step of the way. Stay up to date with the successes and goals through our newsletter! https://www.cuhcharity.ie/newslettersignup/

Oran has never let Type One Diabetes slow him down. Over the last year, he has done a lot of fundraising, so of course, he would make a great ambassador for this year's Type Onesie Day!

Now his school and classmates are showing their support and are asking other primary schools to sign up too. Type Onesie Day is an educational day all about getting to know Type One Diabetes, it raises funds for Paediatric Diabetes services in CUH, which runs clinics for Cork, Kerry & Tipperary.

Primary Schools all over Munster are back in pyjamas this November 14th! ๐ŸŒŸ
So, grab your comfiest pjs and ask your school to get involved and sign up: https://www.cuhcharity.ie/type-onesie-day/
