We don’t just fill containers full of water and ice and let players off on their own. It leaves too much guesswork.
A lot of players either 1. Don’t stay in for the required amount of time. 2. Struggle with the cold water dips and need to be guided through it.
MaryRose is there with you. She times the rounds for you and offers words of encouragement.
We pair players together so they share an ice bath, which not only supports their physical recovery but also helps build mutual encouragement.
Research suggests that we need 11 minutes per week of cold-water therapy.
In our sessions, we do three rounds of three-minute cold plunges.
A typical recovery sequence looks like this:
sauna → cold plunge
sauna → cold plunge
sauna → cold plunge.
Each player completes three alternating rounds of sauna and cold plunge, providing the best contrast therapy to help the body feel its best.
