The Bon Secours Care Village incorporates St. Joseph’s Hospital and Cedar Lodge Independent Living Apartments. We aim to provide an excellance of care to all residents, their families and friends by striving to live out the core values of Bon Secours - “Good Help to those in need”. We have a deep respect for the older person and a keen wish to understand their life experiences, and their wishes for the future. We do our utmost to ensure that they enjoy a rewarding life now that they are sharing their home with us, while remaining cognisant of the importance of family during these precious years.
St. Joseph's Hospital is a ninety seven bed care home facility within Bon Secours Care Village. The hospital is a purpose built facility, built in 2002, extended & revamped in 2018, with a high standard of residential living space on ground floor level and surrounded by mature trees and gardens in a peaceful, rural setting. Our muti-disciplinary team offers an holistic approach to care, ensuring each resident's personal, medical, spiritual, psychological and social needs are properly addressed. The decision to move into a care facility, especially long term can be a difficult decision and we believe in offering as much information, support and time as required for each individual. We encourage visits to our home, giving the opportunity to sample the atmosphere, meet residents and staff and gain a better understanding of what the hospital can offer.
Cedar Lodge consists of 7 individual apartments suited to independent living in a safe, comfortable and secure environment. It is surrounded by newly landscaped gardens, ample walkways and relaxation areas. Each apartment comes with a fully fitted kitchen, en suite bathroom with low level shower and gas fired central heating. All apartments are completely furnished. While you are staying at Cedar Lodge we minimise your hassle by taking care of all your meals which are provided in our award winning restaurant, laundry, on-site security, access to the G.P and pharmacy, utility bills and refuse collection. We even provide a handy man to look after any minor jobs that you need . Our aim is to enhance the quality of life for all residents in a dignified and respectful environment which preserves independence, individuality and choice.
We also provide Respite and Convalescent Care at the Bon Secours Care Village. Our facilities, expertise and experience guarantee the best of respite and convalescent care for all our residents. Round the clock care, constant monitoring and customised treatment programmes allow the resident to relax fully.
