The kidneys are not just vital organs for filtering blood; they are also linked to our emotional wellbeing. Emotions such as fear/dread, stress, anxiety, conflict or being unsupported can deeply impact the health of our kidneys.

When we carry these emotions for long periods, they put extra strain on kidney energy, leaving you feeling depleted or running on empty, causing lower back discomfort or fluid imbalance.

Working with the whole person approach in kinesiology, we can show the definite connection and offer a holistic approach to support your kidney wellbeing. Through gentle muscle testing, we can identify and release emotional blockages stored in the kidneys and restore balance in the body’s energy flow.

Taking time to care for your emotional health is not a luxury. It’s essential maintenance for your entire body.

If you’ve been feeling drained, anxious, or out of balance, your body may simply be asking for support 💚

National Plant a Flower Day

Today is a beautiful reminder that even the smallest act can bring colour, joy, and life into the world. Planting a flower isn’t just about gardening — it’s about hope, patience, and nurturing something that will bloom in its own perfect time.

Whether you plant a seed in your garden, a pot on your windowsill, or simply pause to appreciate the flowers already around you, take a moment to connect with nature today. Just like flowers, we flourish when we’re cared for, nourished, and given space to grow.

What will you plant — in your garden or in your life? 💛

It’s so cool getting feedback like this. Even though the person can’t pinpoint what has changed, they know something is different and they feel better in themselves. I love it. Thank you, Kate, for allowing me to work with your energy. 💚❤️

INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY

Today we celebrate the strength, resilience, compassion and courage of women everywhere.

As a therapist working with women every day, I see firsthand how much they carry — families, businesses, careers, communities. And they do this often while quietly navigating their own emotional and physical challenges.

International Women’s Day is not just about celebration. It’s about recognition. It’s about creating space for women to be supported, heard and empowered to step into their full potential, without guilt and without apology.

To every woman who has ever doubted herself…
To every woman who keeps going even when it feels hard…
To every woman learning to put herself on her own priority list…

You are powerful. You are worthy. You are enough.

Today, and every day, let’s continue to support one another, lift each other up, and step bravely outside our comfort zones. 💜

Signs Your Body May Be Overloaded or Out of Balance

Sometimes we think we’re “just tired” or “just busy”…
But often, the body is quietly asking for support long before it forces us to stop.

Some of the gentle signs your body may be overloaded are in the photo. Do you recognise any of them?

Your body is incredibly intelligent. It whispers before it shouts.

Stress doesn’t just live in the mind. It lives in the nervous system, the muscles, the lymphatic system, and the emotional body. When we don’t process stress, it gets stored.

The good news?
The body also knows how to rebalance — when given the right support.

Whether that’s:
• Slowing down
• Breathing more deeply
• Better boundaries
• Nourishing touch
• Emotional release
• Or simply being heard

You don’t have to wait until burnout to take action.

If any of this resonates, consider it a loving nudge from your body 💚

I don’t know if you have noticed, but my logo spells “SHH” which may be appropriate for today….. World Hearing Day.

I learned from an early age that in order to communicate well, we must concentrate on what the other person is saying. I learned this from communicating with my brother who is deaf and I didn’t know sign language, so we spoke directly to each other, and he lipread what we all had to say. It was a wonderful skill to learn so young.

I must say I can be guilty of not listening and hearing what people say at times (ask my children!!!!🤪😂) It’s sometimes hard to concentrate with all the distractions in our lives, all the noise in the background, all the things we are thinking about……

But when it comes to my treatment room, my hearing skills kick back into action. I listen carefully and hear what you are saying, what you are kinda saying and what you kinda don’t want to say!! A lot of people just want to be heard no matter what they are saying. So, I am here to hear what you want to share, and we will work with that information on bring balance to your life. 💚

So, for a quiet, relaxed environment (SHH) where you can speak your truth and be heard, give me a call for an appointment. 😉

HAPPY OLD STUFF DAY!

Let’s take a moment today to appreciate the beauty of the past and the stories it holds.

Do you remember the little basket from your youth? I used to run to the shop to buy this little basket for Mam when she needed them – a packet of needles and a threader! More often than not I was called to thread the needle! Little did I think then that I would be quite happy for someone else to thread a needle for me now, instead of squinting at the tiny eye of the needle!!!! Sure, with life being so disposable now, how often do we actually sew anything these days???

Today, let’s treasure the memories behind each piece of old stuff we see! What’s your favourite memory of old stuff?? Share your memories in the comments – I’d love to hear!

“Beatha teanga í a labhairt” — The life of a language is in speaking it. 💚

During Seachtain na Gaeilge, we’re reminded that every cúpla focal (few words) keeps our beautiful native language alive. You don’t have to be fluent, a simple “Dia dhuit,” a kind word, or even trying is enough. When we speak Irish, we honour our heritage, our culture, and the spirit of Ireland itself.

This week, why not use a little more Gaeilge in your day?

Grateful for beautiful feedback like this.Thank you, Kate, for your trust and kind words.

TIP - Gentle Daily Practices to Keep Your Energy Flowing

Our bodies are designed for movement, rhythm, and balance. However modern life often keeps us sitting, rushing, and disconnected from our natural needs. Over time, this can cause fatigue, tension, and a sense of feeling “stuck,” both physically and emotionally.

Gentle daily practices help restore flow by supporting circulation, lymphatic movement, and nervous system balance. Small, consistent actions can make a surprisingly big difference.

Try these simple habits:
• Stretching or moving your body regularly
• Deep, slow breathing
• Staying well hydrated
• Spending time in nature
• Quality sleep and rest

These don’t have to be perfect or time-consuming. What matters most is consistency and listening to what your body needs in the moment.

When energy flows freely, you may notice clearer thinking, lighter mood, better sleep, and a deeper sense of wellbeing.

Sometimes healing isn’t about doing more. It’s actually about slowing down and supporting your body in simple, nurturing ways.

WORLD THINKING DAY

Today is a great reminder that our thoughts are powerful.

What we focus on grows — whether that’s worry or hope, fear or possibility, stress or calm. Taking even a few mindful moments to check in with ourselves can shift our entire day.

What are you choosing to think about today? 💭

I hope your thoughts are kind, empowering, and supportive of the life you want to create.
