Care is the thread that holds us all together. ๐Ÿงต๐Ÿ’œ

This , weโ€™re sharing the roots of The Great Care Co-op. Born from the womenโ€™s movement, our journey began in 2003 when migrant women in Ireland stood up to demand better pay, better treatment, and true recognition for domestic and care work.

๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ต ๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—น๐—ฒ: โœจ Care is a universal human need. โœจ We all need it to survive. โœจ Those who provide it deserve dignity.

Today, we honor the wonderful and brave women, both in our co-op and across the globe, who care for the frail, the sick, and the young and old.

Earlier this week was pure magic! โœจ

14 incredible students officially completed GCC's bespoke QQI Course for Migrant Women in Healthcare. ๐ŸŽ“

Since 2020, weโ€™ve had the honour of supporting 90 migrant women on their journey to becoming qualified Healthcare Assistants. This was a core part of our co-founderโ€™s vision: ensuring that migrant women have equal access to top-tier training and meaningful careers in care.

Irelandโ€™s healthcare system is in very safe hands with this group! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ’ช

A massive thank you to our funders, Rethink Ireland, and the One Foundation for backing GCC mission, as well as for their partnership, and to everyone for making these dreams a reality. ๐Ÿค
