JACE Medical will be hosting Causeway Clear Ears on Thursday the 2nd of April in our Greysteel clinic.

Causeway Clear Ears is a Nurse-Led Private Ear Health Service, providing Ear Health Services to Adults and Children age 4 and above. They are a team of Specialist Nurses, who have completed Post-Grad Diplomas in Primary Ear Care and can provide services such as:

👂 Ear Wax Removal via Microsuction, Water Irrigation & Instrumentation
👂 Diagnosis and Management of Ear Conditions such as Infections
👂 Hearing Checks
👂 Tinnitus Education & Advice
👂 Corporate Ear Health Packages

At this time of year, ear infections become much more common, often following a cold, flu, or a build-up of ear wax.

At Causeway Clear Ears, we use specialist microscopy to accurately diagnose the cause of your symptoms, whether it is:

👂 An outer ear infection (otitis externa)
👂 A middle ear infection (acute otitis media)
👂 Or a blockage caused by wax

Once diagnosed, we provide a tailored treatment plan to relieve discomfort and treat the infection at its source.

In many cases, microsuction is used to gently remove wax or infection debris. This allows medication, such as ear drops, to reach exactly where it is needed for effective treatment.

Appointments are carried out by our experienced Specialist Nurses at JACE Medical, Greysteel. Our next clinic will be on Thursday, the 2nd April, 2026

Tinnitus is the perception of sound that is not coming from an external source.
It can range from mildly irritating to causing patients to become completely overwhelmed. It can affect enjoyment of hobbies, sleep, mood and mental health.

Tinnitus sounds can be a variety of things including ringing, buzzing, whooshing, even machinery sounds or songs.

One of our patients perceives a tractor sound, another hears a song on repeat and another hears their washing machine on a spin cycle. Often our brains will interpret sound as something we have previous reference for.

Ear Wax Occlusions, Ear Infections or Foreign Objects, Noise Exposure and Hormone Fluctuations can cause Tinnitus or make a pre-existing Tinnitus much worse.
