EASTER WEEK YOGA KINDLY!
Our Saturday mornings are returning back to the FMRC Downings (just in case the weather surprises us and we want to take our mats to the beachšŸ¤”HOPE is a great thing.

So what is coming up...

ā€œBreathe into your upper body seams, front back and sides and let your body unfold like a quiet wave, strong and free.ā€

Over the next two weeks, we’ll gently explore the landscape of the upper body—what I like to think of as the upper dock, where breath, movement, and awareness arrive and expand.
We’ll move through the sides, the front, and the back body, allowing each layer to gradually unfurl like a quiet wave.
There’s no force here, only invitation—an opening through the shoulders, the heart, the ribs, and the space behind the heart.
As we soften habitual holding and create room for breath to move more freely, we may discover a sense of ease, lightness, and quiet strength.
Let this be a practice of curiosity and unfolding, where each movement ripples outward with steadiness and calm.

See you on the mat.

YOGA KINDLY / YOGA WILD ATLANTIC
Over the next two weeks - we’re bringing awareness to the lumbar spine, the lower back that supports so much of our movement. We’ll explore the balance between strength and range of motion—building stability through the core and hips while allowing gentle, spacious movement through the body. When we feel supported, we can begin to move with a little more playfulness and curiosity, exploring how the spine responds.

Our Beautiful Spine in YOGA.
Cervical Spine (C1–C7) – Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)
Thoracic Spine (T1–T12) – Heart Chakra (Anahata)
Lumbar Spine (L1–L5) – Root Chakra (Muladhara)
Sacrum (S1–S5) – Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana)
Coccyx (3–5 fused vertebrae) – Root Chakra (Muladhara)

YOGA KINDLY / YOGA WILD ATLANTIC WAY.
This week’s yoga sequence is all about our stabilisers:
OUR LOVELY FEET :-)

Our feet are extraordinary structures. Each foot contains 26 bones, 33 joints, and over 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments, all working together in quiet coordination.

They are the first part of the body to meet the ground each morning, and with every step we take, they make tiny micro-adjustments to keep us balanced, upright, and moving with ease.

In yoga, the feet are much more than something we stand on. They are our points of connection, the place where we root down and gather stability. When the feet are awake and supported, the rest of the body can stack, lengthen, and move more freely.

Think of the feet as our human roots — grounding us, supporting us, and allowing us to grow upward with strength and steadiness.

This week’s practice invites awareness, strength, and softness into the feet so the whole body can feel more stable and supported.

YOGA KINDLY / YOGA WILD ATLANTIC.

Love is something we give and receive every day, in small moments and quiet connections.
February 14th isn’t about commercial celebration—it’s a gentle reminder to pause and honor that ongoing flow of love in our lives.
As we open our heart space on the mat, let’s remember that love is always present, waiting to be felt, shared, and celebrated—far beyond any single day.

Bringing our focus on our the heart space over the next two weeks, creating space in the chest (continuing from our shoulder practice ) upper back through a gentle yet strengthening flow. We’ll move mindfully through heart-opening postures, supported by grounding strength and a few playful shapes to keep the practice light and accessible.
This balanced approach supports deeper breathing, improved posture, and a sense of steadiness that allows us to give and receive love with greater ease—beginning with ourselves.
Expect a practice that is nourishing, empowering, and playful.

Be kind to your heart...

Reminder to pre-book.

YOGA KINDLY / YOGA WILD ATLANTIC WAY.
Moving a little deeper in our second week, bringing more focus into the upper body: shoulders, arms, and chest, with time to notice where we hold on and where we can soften. I’ll add a touch of playful balance along the way, keeping the practice curious and light.
See you on the mat ....Pssttt remember to book your space!

St Brigid’s Day always feels like a gentle reset — a quiet turning point where the light starts to return and everything feels a little more hopeful.
It’s a reminder that new beginnings don’t have to be big or loud… sometimes they’re small, steady, and softly unfolding in the background.
Little time to pause and just reflect, set a simple intention for the weeks ahead — to welcome warmth, calm, and fresh energy back in, one breath at a time. šŸ’›āœØ

A day later than planned sailing from Liverpool to Belfast, thanks to the storm along the Channel. Taking in the ever-changing sea view and reflecting on our upcoming sequence.
We’ll be moving into Gomukhasana (Cow Face Pose) as a key theme — bringing more focus into the upper body: shoulders, arms, and chest, with time to notice where we hold on and where we can soften. I’ll add a touch of playful balance along the way, keeping the practice curious and light.
There’ll also a chance to catch up a little more reading around breath and balance, and how the way we breathe can quietly support steadiness — both on and off the mat.
If you’ve sent a booking message and haven’t heard back yet, my internet connection is a little unreliable at sea — I’ll reply as soon as I’m back on land. Thank you for your patience šŸ¤
