Simply Birth Donegal

Simply Birth Donegal Pregnancy Yoga and Mum & Baby Yoga classes, Donegal Town. Hypnobirthing antenatal classes are held in Letterkenny and Donegal Town.

VBAC preparation add on option available. Simply Birth Donegal has one goal - that you have a positive birth experience, with or without medication. By preparing well, trusting your instincts and asking the questions that are important to you, you can take ownership of your birthing and feel 'calm, confident and in control', no matter what route your birthing takes. Our workshops teach expectant couples how they can achieve this, using brain training tools such as hypnosis, mindfulness and sports psychology, as well as an understanding of the Irish maternity system and how best to navigate it. We will help you uncover the innate wisdom that every mother has, that you already know how to birth your baby gently, it's part of your genetic makeup ... we simply provide you with skills and techniques to remind you of that power. Women remember the day they give birth forever. Let's make it a fantastic memory and a positive start on the adventure that is parenthood.

Traumatic Birth Experience?
Or
Perinatal Traumatic Experience?

Need an Emotional Debriefing Session?⠀

Birthing is a life-altering event for many women. ⠀

The emotional tags and memory processing of your birthing is just as vital to your recovery as is the physical healing & recovery of your body. ⠀

Your mental & emotional health is equally if not more important than your physical health at this time in your postnatal journey. ⠀

If your Birth Story is one of Trauma and you feel emotionally connected with deep feelings of sadness, anger, shame, guilt, numbness, resentment or disappointment this can be very heavy, weighted & may lead to post-trauma symptoms.

⠀Why an Emotional Debriefing?

👂 Having your story heard can help you begin to understand what happened and process it.⠀

🤯 Understanding of how a traumatic event affects the mind and body.⠀

👨‍👩‍👧Give you an understanding of how it may be impacting and showing up in your life & relationships today.

💭 With this knowledge and understanding together we can work through your experience & begin to heal the relating emotional tags to the memory.

🌱Start the process of moving forward to feeling differently in the future.⠀

I am trained to listen to your Birth Story.

You will be given the time and space to have your story heard in a safe confidential environment. ⠀

You will feel listened to validated and heard with respect compassion and acknowledgement. ⠀

The feelings of your experience are important valid and very real.

If you need or want support I am here to listen and guide you.

"You can go to the hairdressers, you can go to Penneys, kids can play GAA, you can go to Church, but you can't have one person in with you, when you are in labour, which is one of the most difficult things that you do, and when you are at your most vulnerable," says Ann Doherty Quinn, Donegal...
