Acknowledgment and Month’s Mind Mass details for the late
“Mr Boxing” – PETER O'DONNELL

St Eunan’s Chapel, Raphoe – Sunday, 16 November at 11:00 a.m.

We, the family of the late Peter O’Donnell, would like to extend our deepest thanks to everyone who supported us in their own way during this difficult time. Your kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness were truly appreciated and brought us great comfort.

We are deeply thankful to the many who attended the wake and funeral, those who took part in the guard of honour, and those who sent messages of condolence. The outpouring of support—cards, flowers, donations to charities, social media posts, and media coverage—meant so much to us throughout Dad’s wake and funeral.

A heartfelt thank you to those who helped with traffic and road arrangements, Jeremy Ayton and the bus drivers, those who donated food and drinks (including local businesses), and those who prepared meals and served tea and coffee. We can’t thank you enough for everything you did for us.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who organised and attended the guard of honour at Raphoe Boxing Club and paid tribute to Dad with the ten bells. This was a deeply moving and beautiful tribute.

We are very grateful to Canon Dinny McGettigan for your support, the many rosaries, and the deeply meaningful funeral Mass. Thank you also to Fr Oliver McCrossan, Fr Kevin Mulhern, the altar servers, Martin Laird, Patricia Porter, and the beautiful music by Aoife and Eugene McGinley. We also thank the grave diggers for their service.

Our deepest thanks to Michael and Caroline Kelly of Kelly’s Funeral Directors, Raphoe, for the exceptional care and service you provided in arranging Dad’s wake and funeral. Your compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail brought us great comfort at a very difficult time.

Lastly, a special thank you to the wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff of Raphoe Health Centre, Letterkenny General Hospital, Altnagelvin Radiation Services, Donegal Hospice, the Irish Cancer Society, and Raphoe Pharmacy—we are forever grateful to you all.

Dad’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place on Sunday, 16 November, in St Eunan’s Church, Raphoe, at 11:00 a.m.

With kindest regards and warm-hearted thanks, The O’Donnell Family.

The Acknowledgement and Month's Mind Mass details of the late JOAN MCGEE, 2 Millpark, Carrigans

A Message of Thanks from the Family of the Late Joan McGee nee Gallagher

We, the family of the late Joan McGee, would like to extend our deepest thanks to everyone who supported us in their own way during this difficult time. Your kindness, generosity, and thoughtfulness were truly appreciated and did not go unnoticed.

To all who attended the wake and funeral, sent condolences, mass cards, flowers, donations, and messages of sympathy—thank you. Your presence and gestures brought us great comfort.

A heartfelt thank you to those who helped with traffic and road arrangements, donated food and drinks, prepared meals, and served tea, coffee, and sandwiches. To our wonderful friends and neighbours who stood by us—you were incredible. Though we cannot name everyone individually, please know we are deeply grateful and will reach out to you personally.

To Sinead Black and Martin Cuff, thank you for the beautiful music and Fr. Kemmy, your service and touching tribute to Joan were deeply moving. The inclusion of the sunflower and even the mention of the speed bump brought warmth and meaning to the ceremony.

Thanks to Michael, Ollie, Jimmy and the best wee man, Joan’s favourite, Jack, for organising the grave and surround.

A special thank you to Michael and Caroline of Kelly’s Funeral Directors, Raphoe. From bringing Mum home from the hospital to the wake and funeral, your care and attention were exceptional. Michael, your daily check-ins meant the world to us and for ensuring the music played so Mammy could hear it on the way to the funeral and to Cavan. Caroline, thank you for providing everything we needed at home, nothing was a bother. Thanks to you both from the bottom of our hearts—Mammy’s funeral was perfect and ran smoothly.

Finally, a sincere thank you to Lorraine Guthrie, Manager, and the porter who kindly allowed me to see Mum when I missed her at home. I haven’t forgotten your kindness.

With gratitude, The McGee and Gallagher Family

We are deeply thankful to the many who attended the wake and funeral, and to those who sent messages of condolence. The outpouring of support—cards, Masses, flowers, donations to charities, gifts, social media posts, and media coverage—has meant so much to us throughout Christian’s illness and his passing.

A sincere thank you to everyone who assisted in any way during the wake and funeral. To the many friends and neighbours who stewarded the roads—especially Mike and Emmett Kelly, Mark Gillen, John Sweeney, Pierce McNamee, Denis Lafferty, Conor Brogan, Kevin McDevitt, Gerard Keaveney, Trevor Kilpatrick, Raphoe Town Football Club and all the coaches, Jeremy Ayton Buses (Ballindrait), and the bus drivers—we are forever grateful.

We extend heartfelt thanks to the tea ladies and the many helpers who supported us in the wake house over the two days, and to the neighbours, friends, and community members who delivered food to both the stewards and the wake house.

We are especially thankful to the local businesses who generously provided food parcels and support: Harris Service Station (Convoy), Coyle’s Centra (Raphoe), St Vincent de Paul, Purple Velvet, Mac’s Mace, Austin Daly, and Get Fresh (Deele College). Thank you also to O’Reilly’s Sports and The Label (Strabane) for your kindness and support.

Our sincere thanks go to Mrs Keeve, the teachers and SNAs of St Eunan’s National School; Joe Boyle, the teachers and SNAs of Deele College Raphoe; and Howard Welsh and the staff of Royal & Prior Comprehensive School for the care and support shown to Christian and our family throughout his illness, during the wake and funeral, and since his passing.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who organised and attended the guard of honour. It was a deeply moving and beautiful tribute to Christian.

A special thank you to Gráinne Gavigan Music, Aoife and Eugene McGinley, and Austin Quinn for the beautiful singing and music at Christian’s funeral service.

We are very grateful to Fr Kelly for your support, the rosary, and the deeply meaningful funeral Mass you gave to Christian. Thank you also to Deacon Laird, the altar servers, and the grave diggers for your service.
