Our family centred approach has children Paula and Aidan fully involved in the day to day contact with families, with Maurice & Barbara also involved. is arranged with meticulous attention to detail, in a dignified, compassionate and empathetic way. Our ethos has always been ‘Our family taking care of yours’. Our Funeral Home at Crosslanes, was completely renovated and extended in 2017 to offer families a tranquil setting to allow friends and family pay their final respects. With four separate viewing rooms, two arrangements rooms, a coffin show room, tearoom and shop providing signed Mass cards and flowers, we can comfortably cater for large numbers of mourners and there is ample secure, off-road parking. We continue to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to those that need us. All religious denomination funerals are catered for and we provide a complete repatriation service.

The death has occurred of Rita Kenny née O’Connor, Marian Close, Sandyford Terrace, Drogheda and formerly of Pearse Park. 24th April 2026. Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Rita is predeceased by her partner Jimmy, parents Bridget and James, children Paul, Catherine and David and her sister Margaret. Loving mam to Michelle, Patrick, David, Sinead and Andrew. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, sons, her adored grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters Bridie, Chrissie, May, Marie, Imelda and her twin brother Jim, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May Rita Rest In Peace.

Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes (A92 XN75) on Sunday afternoon from 3.00pm to 6.00pm.

Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11.30am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church which can be viewed live on www.saintpetersdrogheda.ie. Burial afterwards in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Olive Lynch, née Rowe, Ballsgrove, Drogheda, Co. Louth and formerly of Platin Road. 24th April 2026, Peacefully in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, in her 90th year, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Christy and son Tony. Olive will be very sadly missed by her children Joey, Valerie, Jacqueline and Gary, daughters-in-law Sandra and Chantelle, sons-in-law Richard and Dixie, grandchildren Shauna, Rachel, Amy, Richard, Christopher, Richard, Sarah, Jessica, Shane and Rory, great-grandchildren, sisters Joan and Ann, brother Michael, extended family, relatives and friends.

The family of the late John Russell, Hand St, who passed away peacefully on 25th March 2026 would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with us on our sad loss. We greatly appreciate the phone calls, messages, mass cards, letters and condolences on rip.ie. Our sincere thanks to the staff of the 3rd floor, Boyne 3 west, for the wonderful care and kindness shown to our dad during his illness.

Thank you to Fr Brannigan for such a lovely mass and Gerry Mulroy for the beautiful music. Many thanks also to the palliative care team that looked after our dad in hospital. We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who came out to show their respect along the route from Grace’s home to the Church, we were overwhelmed. Thank you to neighbours and friends who supported us, by joining us in person or via the live streamed mass, to pay tribute to Dad. Thank you to Townley’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism and care during our dad’s final journey.

Dad will be deeply and sadly missed and will always be remembered.

As it is impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt appreciation.
