We provide an award winning and professional Funeral service on a full-time basis in a uniquely caring and family environment. Established in 1988 by Paddy and his wife Patricia Townley. Our family centred approach has children Paula and Aidan fully involved in the day to day contact with families, with Maurice & Barbara also involved. Our dedicated staff ensure that your loved one’s final journey is arranged with meticulous attention to detail, in a dignified, compassionate and empathetic way. Our ethos has always been ‘Our family taking care of yours’. Our Funeral Home at Crosslanes, was completely renovated and extended in 2017 to offer families a tranquil setting to allow friends and family pay their final respects. With four separate viewing rooms, two arrangements rooms, a coffin show room, tearoom and shop providing signed Mass cards and flowers, we can comfortably cater for large numbers of mourners and there is ample secure, off-road parking. We continue to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to those that need us. All religious denomination funerals are catered for and we provide a complete repatriation service.

The death has occurred of Peter Woods, Johns Street, Drogheda and formerly of Duleek Gate. 17th February 2026. Peacefully in Sunhill Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family. Peter, beloved husband to Betty and loving dad to Catherine, Denise and Peter. Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, son, sons-in-law Declan and Marco, daughter-in-law Jessica, grandchildren, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Townley’s Funeral Home on Friday from 5pm until 7pm.
A celebration of Peters life will take place 11am on Saturday morning in the Funeral Home.
Cremation will take place afterwards in Dardistown Crematorium.

The death has occurred of Peter Anthony Smith, Seapoint, Termonfeckin, Co. Louth and formerly Smith’s of Drogheda (Garage). 16th February 2026. Peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. Anthony is predeceased by his parents and sisters. Loving husband to Mary and dad to Aisling, Nicky, Tony and Kevin. He will be sadly missed by his wife, daughter, son’s, daughters-in-law Maeve and Geraldine, son-in-law Bernard, Kevin’s partner Joaquin, grandchildren Graham, Jill, Nick, Alex, Tony Óg, Cormac and Laura and all their partners, brother Fr. Nick, sisters Rita and Martina, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and a wide circle of colleagues and friends.

The family of the late Annette Faulkner, Ballsgrove, Drogheda, who passed away on the 19th of January 2026, would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with us on Annette's passing.

Your support, messages, cards and kind gestures have meant so much to us in difficult days.

We would like to thank the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and the Gary Kelly Centre for their wonderful care and kindness for Annette. Sincere thanks to Fr John Conlon for his thoughtful words and a lovely mass. And a heartfelt thank you to David Leddy and all the members of the Drogheda Male Voice Choir for the beautiful music.

Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital surrounded by her loving family in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Bernard (Barney), mother Kate, brother Martin and aunt Maggie. Beloved mother of Serena, Elaine, Martin, Donal and Thomas. Mary will be very sadly missed by her sons and daughters, sons-in-law Trevor and Tom, Martins partner Siobhan, her adored grandchildren Saoirse, Freya and Robyn, and her loyal and much-loved dog Taz, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, good neighbours and friends.

The family of the late Sylvie Kierans, Newtown Stalaban, Drogheda, Co Louth who passed away peacefully on 20th January 2026, wish to thank all those who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement.

Sylvie is sadly missed by all his family, friends and neighbours and will always be remembered with love.

Our sincere thanks to the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for their care and compassion.

We are grateful to everyone who attended the funeral, sent mass cards and messages of condolences.
